Hello, I'm a 56 yr old male living in the UK. I'm overweight but I'm a vegetarian, don't smoke and hardly drink alcohol.
Last year after going to the doctors with stomach and bowel issues, I had a colonoscopy which was clear. I also had blood tests, and early this year a poo test, which were so OK. I was then told I have IBS
I have bouts of constipation and stomach ache and bloating. I've cut back on all manner of foods. I only eat sourdough bread as it doesn't cause me issues.
For the last month I have had a dull stomach ache, and constipation. This has only eased up a few times. I went to the doctors 10 days ago and he said IBS was to blame.
I'm taking fibre gel (as the doctor prescribed) once a day to help with my constipation which seems to help. I still have the stomach ache, which seems to be worsen at certain times. Sitting back whilst working helps.
I just wanted to see if others had the same issues as me, and if they did anything to help?
Thank you
