Sore lips ?: I use Fostair and Ventolin... - Asthma Community ...
Sore lips ?
Do you have cold sores, in which case Zovirax is very good though they take time to heal. Try not to lick your lips, put sun balm on if out, clean your spacer often.
Maybe some antiseptic wipes to prevent any cross contamination of wipe with antibacterial spray or gel 🤔. I've discovered recently that Sudocreme is really good at healing sores, you can get tiny little pots.
hi do you rinse your mouth after using the fostair as this can make your mouth sore possibly your lips if it is getting on them. Otherwise suggest you see your doctor.
I use pure vaseline on my lips, morning , noon, and night and also up each nostril, have done for years all all is fine xx
Vaseline/petroleum jelly moisturises lips & helps thm heal
I have a theory... candidiasis. I know we're not supposed to give "medical advice" here; that's not what I'm doing. As you well know, our oral asthma meds can cause thrush, which is candidiasis, or fungus (yeast). AND, the bottom lip is a favorite colonization spot (researchable). So what I do is put micostatin cream on it, esp. if I'm sure it's not just sunburnt or a cold sore Blistex and micostatin cream on it. If it gets out of hand, the doctor may prescribe fluconazole, an anti-yeast pill. This is a recurring problem for me, too, btw. . I'm pretty sure I have candidiasis overgrowth when I wake up with dry mouth and a white tongue. AND a lip thing. That's when I ask for the fluconazole pill. OX, DK P.S.: yeast is not easy to get rid of, so do take it seriously if that's what it is.
This from the internet: A yeast infection on your face or lips is a common fungal infection caused by a yeast called Candida. Symptoms include a red, itchy rash on your face or white patches on your lips. Treatment includes antifungal creams, lotions or ointments.
