Nothing’s Easy With Me! 🤬
As far as I was concerned, I was going to discuss which biologic I was going to take and how to self inject - Etanercept (Enbrel) or Adalimumab (
Humira
). Again, I’ve left a message on the Rheumatology Helpline for confirmation of what I’m actually going in for. UPDATE - Rheumy nurse just phoned.

RA Bad in Feet - But Feet Not in DAS - So No New Meds
I’ve tried an anti-TNF inhibitor adalimumab (
Humira
), and rituximab (Trumira) but to no avail. In both cases the rheumy nurses ensured that the DAS (disease activity score) was over 5.1.

experiences with biologics
I started
Humira
for three months last year and stopped due to two urinary track infections. The Rheumatologist said no infections when on it. I had been on Otezla for a year, and also stopped due to stomach upset. Using biologics effectively and finding the right match is still very new to me.

Orencia
I have been first on Metho, then biosimilars Etanercept,
Humira
, which all caused liver pain and strangely my teeth have been giving me a hard time. Pain in my gums, decaying, fillings, tooth pulled, more feelings coming. I also had a shot of Simponi that I had a very bad reaction to.

Cimzia Side Effects Immediately After Injection
For example, many people on
Humira
say that they have to clear their schedule for 24 hours after each injection. Does anyone experience things like this with Cimzia?

Much needed feedback
Well, fast forward to my actual visit four months later ( actually WITHOUT medication because my old doctor declined my new insurance the Rx for
Humira
, because they thought I have seronegative RA) the person who was assigned to me is a nurse. She is under a Rheumatologist.

Flare after food
My RA is not that well controlled at the moment (taking 15mg MTX and
Humira
plus prednisone which I’m supposed to taper off…) After having my daughter 2 years ago I’ve basically been in a never ending flare.

Living with Crohn's over 30 years
I have tried 3 biologicals Cimzia,
Humira
and Stelara, while also taking 6MP on the Cimzia. The first 2 stopped helping me and the Stelara made me catch 4 viruses in a 5 week period. I am done with biologicals, besides i dont trust them and stress about cancer while on them.

What happens if you fail Xeljanz
My rheumatologist took me off leflunomide and
Humira
then started me on Xeljanz. I wonder if I would of taken Xeljanz with leflunomide if it would of been more effective? What I really wonder is if Xeljanz did not work is it possible for another Jak med will work?

5th failed transfer
This is the first time I have taken prednisone 25mg, had intralipids and
humira
injections. I was sure we had found the real cause of failed implantation and my 2 miscarriages but now I am not so sure. Our embryos have always been good quality, I am 35 and my partner is 32.

Covid diagnosis and interactions with paxlovid
My sister is picking it up for me from the hospital pharmacy this afternoon and I presume I have to stay off the
humira
until I feel better. My problem is that I take cbd regularly and that I had my usual dose this morning. (I normally take it morning and evening).

Triple treatment adding Sulfasalazine
My current meds are
Humira
, Leflunomide 10 mg, prednisone 6 mg and Celebrex 200 mg 2x a day. I started having more flares. My rheumy wants to add Sulfasalazine. He would like to get the ra more controlled and me off prednisone. I have been using higher does up to 20 mg for the flares.

Humira possibly Stelara?
I have found that
humira
has been a wonder medication for me in terms of both plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Lately I have been dealing with tendon issues in my ankle.
