Stopping medication
Hi, I have suffered with restless legs all my life but they only became unbearable after having my second son. I tried all sorts of different things with varying success, initially Magnesium helped, then Iron, then an iron infusion but then they gradually became less and less effective. I was exhausted

Medication Induced Hepatitis.
Wondering if anyone else has had anything similar. I started a higher dose of a Statin 2 weeks ago. I'm now having flank pain on both sides, nausea & the whites of my eyes have turned a pale yellow. I've already been changed from one Statin to another as the first one was affecting my liver function,

A group of researchers is looking for people to take part in clinical trials for a new medicine to treat an inherited condition that may cause liver problems. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to take part in stage 1 of the trials in October. The researchers are now looking for more people to take

My doctors don't think I have lupus. 1st tested years ago negative. 2nd ANA positive, 3rd ANA negative. I have a rash on my chest and all the symptoms of lupus. Will someone help me with figuring this out? Now the latest is my eyelashes are falling out plus hair on other parts of my body. I'm 63.

Please I need your helpful advises thank you
Recently diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis early stage but my hepatologist said there is NO treatment. I waited for almost 3 years before they made a diagnosis only to say now that they won’t do anything to treat me? I’ve made a research and back home I learned that this condition can be treated with Silymarin

Upping prognova again- lining even thinner than before! FET
I went for my scan today - Day 14 and after the last cycle getting cancelled I was really nervous. The only change they made from the last protocol (3x2mg prognova) was adding in a patch. So following everyone's advice I have been taking raspberry leaf supplements, raspberry leaf tea, vitamin E, brazil

Vitamin E and Vitamin B ok to take with Levothyroxine?
Hi, I’ve been diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis. Long and painful story but I lost my daughter full term in June and had a mmc in December. My full term loss was a very rare pregnancy complication - nothing to do with my thyroid - it was 1.08 5 weeks after birth. Since august I have known that

Do I have Hepatitis C? Is there a cure?
My Hepatitis C test came back reactive, then my PCR test came back non detectable or negative? So am I cured or will I have to be concerned about liver damage due to Hepatitis C for the rest of my life? Is there a cure and after getting a cure will Hepatitis C come back in it’s own?

Can we prevent, slow or halt, improve symptoms and reduce the severity of Parkinson's?

Residual bruises
Has anyone found anything to help the residual bruises (iron deposits under the skin) left on your forearms? I am currently down to 3 mg. Prednisone but the old bruises remain - will anything help them go away? I've tried Vitamin E, Arnica, and witch hazel to no avail. I think some of the bruises

Hepatitis E I don’t know much about this my blood test says detected. Also Epstein Barr virus from possible 2months.
My daughter had EBV when a teenager and she was very poorly with it, I don’t remember feeling as bad as that in the period of 2 months ago, unless it has raised its head after infection from years back. Hep E don’t know too much about it except what I have Googled. ALT gone up to 500 from previous 205

Auto immune hepatitis (AIH) and decompensated cirrhosis
Hi. Was recently diagnosed with the above. Consultant had taken me off AIH meds Nov 2019 when bloods were normal. A year later I have the above diagnosis. Now they say they will not put me back on AIH meds, it’s not the policy. Am I just being left to die or are others with this well without meds

Azathioprine - what's the point?
I have autoimmune hepatitis (diagnosed June 2018) for which I take 75mg of Azathioprine. Yesterday I had my first fibroscan. The nurse had to do it about 3 or 4 times because something was wrong with the machine & when she was explaining this at the end I looked at the screen & saw it said 261 7.7. Dr

Ct values and (RT-PCR) SARS-CoV-2 tests -ASK FOR YOUR Ct VALUE before making radical treatment decisions
(I try to avoid Covid-19 comments or on molecular virology/biology on this forum, but this one seems appropriate given RoyProp's post. The use of Ct values is controversial, so don't assume anything I say is gospel, but plenty of studies are available to substantiate what I suggest. Look for Dr. Mina's

Immune suppressants?
Im not seeking any medical advice with this question. Do any of you know why some of us, post transplant, take different immune suppressants? I take 2 mg of Advagraf (slow relase) once a day. Others that i have met on the liver unit that were transplanted around the same time as me, December 2019, or

Treatment for dry, peeling lips
What do you use for Sjogrens dry, peeling lips? I have had lupus for 30 years, and a variety of dry eye and salivary gland issues, that have at times been severe. Been treated for both. Also have dry sinus, and sleep apnea. Even if I use items to prevent mouth breathing during sleeps, lips still

financial help
My son has been diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis and is being treated with steroids, he's staying off work until the new year but will probably only be able to work 3 days a week due to his energy levels being quite low... would he be able to get any financial benefits such as help with his rent
