Residual bruises

Has anyone found anything to help the residual bruises (iron deposits under the skin) left on your forearms? I am currently down to 3 mg. Prednisone but the old bruises remain - will anything help them go away? I've tried Vitamin E, Arnica, and witch hazel to no avail. I think some of the bruises are about a year old. Thanks!

I’ve always had bruises lasting for ages like nicotine stains, even pre- Pred and younger. Burns are the worst, they last years. Sorry, that’s no help, is it?

I'm exactly the same. Any scarring last years, and some never go... burns, oh yes, those definitely are the worst!

Mine fade with time but any new bruises do seem to be in the same place and there is a slight "stain" which persists. Though I am on anticoagulant drugs too.Like everything else here - time and patience????

I’ve definitely got the time- now I just need to work on the patience!

That one did, but I have one on each arm from having cannulas put in last September which are still there.

Apparently it can point to vitK deficiency. You can get a cream to apply as well as the supplement.
