Still feeling Awful, but results are improving
Hi All! **I have edited this to add my other bloods which came in today. I am VERY disappointed that my B12 has dropped so much considering I had an injection, albeit two months ago now. I have very slowly cut a tiny bit off my t3 and felt much better for a week, but now I am in the slow decline again

Just got updated thyroid hormone results — see why I'm tired.
Well, I can see why I am so tired. The iron panel is certainly much better, but not as high as I think it should be, but since this is my field, I will keep working on it. Serum zinc will take about a week to get back. B12 and vitamin D are very good / optimal for hypothyroid, so it's not low nutrients

Private testing
Hi. Someone I know in South Wales needs private blood testing for TSH, FT4, FT3, vit D, B12, Ferritin, and Folate. Of the companies listed here - https://thyroiduk.org/help-and-support/private-thyroid-tests-in-the-uk/ - does anyone have advice as to which one to go for? Also, are the finger prick tests

I have hypothyroidism (Hasimotos), diagnosed in June 2020 and prescribed Levo (currently on 100/75 mcg alternate days, until June 2022 when 2x5 Lio was added daily. Below are my latest blood results and I'm hoping one of you kind and knowledgable people might be able to give me some guidance. Firstly

Alendronic acid
Since my flair up I've now been on 15mg pred ( up from 7mg)for 3 weeks. Well, iv'e not felt this good in years. I can actually walk properly, walk with a stride and at a decent pace without feeling that my legs are bound by a resistance band. My energy levels are almost normal as some 4 years ago.

Hypothyroid with dizziness and balance problems; swollen lips and dry mouth.
Would appreciate if anyone else could tell me has suffered these problems and could offer advice. I was diagnosed hypothyroid in early December 22 following blood test after an alarming vertigo episode where I thought I had a mini-stroke. Since then my balance has slowly improved but I can no risk taking

Is my son’s TSH number a concern
My son had a blood test recently and the the test came back with a TSH of 3.2, low vitamin D (43) and high B12 (800) the GP didn’t check the Ft3 or Ft4 or the the antibody. I have been suffering from hypothyroidism for years and a was struggling when my TSH was at 3.00. Should I encourage my son to

Seronegative celiac disease
I had a meeting with my GI today and she says everything points to celiac. But I negative for celiac and I have had many tests for it. I do carry one genetic variant for celiac. My grandmother had celiac and my father has two variants, is undiagnosed but is mostly gluten free simply by not liking gluten

Video : How One Disease Changed What We Know About Medicine - Twice
This video (7 mins 21 secs) is about the discovery of vitamin D and its connection with rickets, and how this then turned into discoveries about the connection with calcium and then it starts getting a bit more complicated... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL31wtijV4Q Since vitamin D gets mentioned

ferritin and Levo dose
Guidance please. GP did a blood test including iron as was feeling tired, cold and shaky. Currently on 100 Levo. I never have changed brand and always do a test 9am without medication within 24 hrs beforehand etc. These are results ; no t3 tested for some reason but historically has always been in range

Vitamin D level
Hello, I am in the UK and the reference range here is 30 to 50 nmol/L as being adequate and above 50 as sufficient. I started 2 years ago at 30 and managed to raise my level. Have been on Evenity for 2 and half months and the Vitamin D is showing at 112. I keep reading that it can be too high over

Am I being stupid by delaying treatment for mild hyperthyroidism when I don't have any symptons?
I am 72 years old and following on from a diagnosis of thrombosis in my legs in 2021, for which I am taking 10mg of rivaroxaban, the Doctors at my local Surgery arranged for me to have blood tests which indicated hyperthyrodism. It was recommended that I should take daily 5mg of carbimazole but as
