Maybe the hematologist thinks I'm crazy? Appointment did not go well.
I recently found out I am pregnant again and my GP had put me on
heparin
(same dose as my last pregnancy). Hemo said to discontinue the
heparin
until after birth. My GP seems to trust him.

Is there a link between APS & having a baby born with a heart condition?
With my son I was on
heparin
& baby aspirin. I am in the process of finding out if this elevation of antibodies is APS/Hughes. Does anyone know if congenital heart defects are associated with Hughes?

Only in my head?! Really?! OMG so frustrated. Has anyone been to St. Thomas and what are the costs?

Could anyone help with my puzzle please? I've been on Septrin Forte 960mg 3 per week, since January 2007 when WG was diagnosed.
The last meeting I had with my Rheum. Consultant suggested I'd be on it for life. My Nephrologist, 2 weeks later suggested it be stopped as he thought it was causing my extreme fatigue but said He'd discuss with my Rheumatologist! He also told me that my red blood cells were very large and he reckoned

Looking for successful pregnancy stories! after APS diagnosis
I have had recurrent early miscarriages and was diagnosed with APS after my wonderful gynaecologist agreed to 'investigate me' I am now 27 weeks pregnant, I am taking aspirin and

Do APS sufferers bruise easily?
I went onto
Heparin
whilst pregnant with my second son and had a brilliant pregnancy. I still feel rather uninformed about APS and have turned into a hypercrondriac wondering whether every ache in my leg is a clot etc.

As few weeks longer on
heparin
then almost certainly on to warfarin, with an INR in the high 3 range. And we will be testing her relatives, a number of who have histories of seizures and migraine. References 1. Govoni et al.

My diagnosis
I’ve also used
Heparin
for long haul flights to be on the safe side. I don’t really understand how APS works because I’ve since been tested once with a negative result and so don’t know whether I’m considered to have APS or not.

Anyone just on heparin/clexane instead or warfarin?
I've seen some say they switched back to
heparin
instead of warfarin. Just wondering how you know you are on the right dose? Also do you bruise a lot where you inject? When pregnant I was on clexane and my belly was black and blue where I injected.

Hard Lumps When Skin Is Bruised
Hello All, I am on 120mg
heparin
and 10mg warfan. For the last three months if I bruise myself it creates a hard lump....it eventually goes away. I have never had this before. Does anyone else have this? Is it worth worrying about? Your thoughts?...thanks Mysty

Secondly, ‘modern’
heparin
(low molecular weight
heparin
, such as Fragmin or Clexane) is very safe, its only problem being that it requires injection. (Many, many pregnant Hughes syndrome patients take
heparin
injections for 8-9 months). Mrs BJ returned after three weeks. All headaches gone!

I'm wondering how soon into pregnancy should I start on heparin injections?
I have not had any miscarriages and the last two pregnancies I was started on
heparin
and aspirin as soon as I found out. I have since moved areas and feel that doctors and midwives are not treating me as 'high risk' and just wondered if I need to demand to see a consultant.

Multiple DVT/Stroke Survivor
He also found out I am allergic to
heparin
!! So no more Lovenox or Fragmin shots for me, I have to take an alternative called Erixtra. There's always something new it seems. Didn't mean to run on forever!

Pregnancy related APS
I have been recommended to take low dose asprin and then
heparin
once pregnant. The nurse consultant seemed a little vague and referred me to the internet. I still feel a little in the dark. I was wondering if anyone had been through a pregnancy on these meds and what experiences did you have?

LOW INR - ON WARFARIN AND CLOPIDIGREL - FUNNY TURNS, FACE FEELS WARM
I was on low
heparin
shots during the 3 week stay in hospital and for a further 3 months, and not on Aspirin as told not to take it until I saw Haematology, I was worried because my mum had a bad stroke due to APS and I kept relaying my thoughts but nothing getting through, and then in April I suffered
