Idiopathic Pulsatile Tinnitus
Hi, I am Gwynydd and I posted some five months ago. To recap I have had an MRI and A CT scan which revealed nothing abnormal. I am being checked for any heart related issues and now referred to the head and neck clinic. Due to my consultant not copying me on the CT scan result and my Doctor not doing

Tinnitus after ear infection (seven months). Any chance it will go?
Hi :D My tinnitus started about seven months ago when I had an ear infection. It has reduced a lot since then but is definitely still there, and pretty annoying! It's only in one ear, and most of the hearing tests I've had have come up 'normal' in both ears. Does anyone know if after this long it can

Hi!
Hello! I’m new to this forum, so thought I would introduce myself! I had a perforated right eardrum when I was a baby following a middle ear infection, which was then operated on and I had a new eardrum grafted at the age of 12 (I’m 27 now). I had a few infections afterwards, I was diagnosed with having

Ear infection/Hearing Loss lead to Tinnitus?
Hello Quick history: Fungal Ear infection, blocked up, Tinnitus, ear cleaning micro suction, Tinnitus remained. Question: Can a fungal infection lead to hearing loss. My doctor and the ENTs docs said it’s possible but my ear drum and canals show no damage at all so my T should go eventually but I

Wiped out by PIP visit
I had my PIP visit yesterday. The lady who came was nice. However all those questions about what I can't do and chat about what I used to do has left me drained and weepy. It's brought back all the feelings of mourning for my previous life. The deep depression of being useless, on the scrap heap.

Hearing
Most people feel this sensation, it happens all the time. Under stress it becomes more noticeable. Get a hearing test explain your symptoms audioligist will tell you how to protect your ears, then be aware and de stress. Stress is a big factor, doesent have to happen over night. It will go away, but

On clexane because of madly unstable INR
To cut a long story short, I was admitted to hospital for them to stabilise me 2 weeks after surgery - loaded with warfarin and
heparin
. They sent me home after 5 days, still with an INR of 1.1!

Stents
They then inserted some sort of puffer machine to ‘puff’ out clots and put him on iv
heparin
. Now hubby in critical but stable condition waiting for a bed in a University hospital to see if they can figure out how to fix him. Shouldn’t he be put back on warfarin? Seems simple to me. 😡

Fistula problems
Was told may have to use
heparin
prior to run. I know is not a drug to fool around with. Any side effects to using with dialysis? My blood was very colored and clotted in tubing.

Unknown cause
So I've had some really strange symptoms occur over the past 6 weeks and I don't know whether they're neurological or caused by something ear related. Saw an ear specialist who could see no perforation and hearing tests all came back but these are my symptoms and wondering if anyone has experienced anything

If tinnitus is through hearing loss how can stress make it worse?
I’ve just had a private hearing test and my hearing loss in my left ear is severe and moderate loss in my right ear, which is causing my t to get worse over the years. If there’s something physically wrong with my ear why would stress make it worse? It’s such a complicated thing, but I’ve always felt

Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
While in the hospital, an ENT noticed that I could not tolerate IV fluids at KVO, as the treatment was IV
heparin
. He did lab work and at first thought it was a fluke, did it again the told me my diagnosis. Once starting Synthroid, it was like waking up from a deep sleep.

Hi again, Other issues need me to take steroids
Hi all apart from my fatty liver issue, I am having issue for more than a month with my ear clogged up. The doctor says my eardrum is puffed out and has some fluid accumulation in the middle ear. He gave me a set of steroids which didn't help and now has given me a higher dosage of steroids. I am afraid
