My husband was diagnosed with afib during a revision of his pacemaker. He was then put on Sintrom ( we live in Spain) but started with a rash on his back after about two months. He didn’t worry to begin with as we had been on holiday for a week and he often has skin reactions to changes in environment but the rash became steadily worse and he also started having pains in his upper arms. GP referred him to haematology and they took him off Sintrom and on to Heparin injections but the rash continues to spread. Has anyone had similar problems?
Thanks in advance if anyone reads and can add information.

The revision is not invasive. He is linked up to their technology and they can see what his heart and pacemaker have been up to over the past six months.
My personal experience (I have extremely sensitive skin) is that once I get a rash, for whatever reason, it spreads and gets worse and worse and can take weeks to settle down. He could try an antihistamine to see if that helps, and shouldn't (but do check) react with any other medication.
Thank you Irene. It may well be the same for him. His skin seems to get more and more sensitive. The haematologist has referred him to a dermatologist now.
