Neuromod, another scam or a step to silence?
Hello Cyber buddies. I have taken the plunge and went to Dublin, Ireland. I thought that I would share my experience and maybe answer a few of your questions. I am by no means an expert but will just speak about my experience. First thing, my research. I read all the glossy print and checked the

INR levels - how do you stabilise them!
I’ve been on warfarin since (Except having to have IV
heparin
for a while). I had a few complications following the surgery and stayed in hospital for three weeks, not my most pleasant three weeks at that!

I have been reading posts on this site for months since being diagnosed with an AN in January. I have found it incredibly helpful and would like to say thank you to everyone for that. I have no imbalance problems but I do have hearing loss and tinnitus. I'm worried about the risks and side effects of

Update after my post asking for advice to avoid a flare-up after surgery - my have a learned a lot since then!
I was started on warfarin to thin my blood and
heparin
injections, I was also given two different types of IV antibiotics over the course of my weeks stay in hospital. It's now been 5 weeks since my op and 3 since I started treatment to get rid of the clots.

Is the Lovenox Anti Xa test the same as the Heparin Xa test?
I selected the
Heparin
Assay, as I didn't see the Lovenox one. I had a stroke in February caused by a bleed. Instead of an INR, my hematologist ordered a Lovenox Anti Xa.

Unilateral deafness and constant tinnitus in 1 ear will a hearing aid help?
I have lost a fair bit of hearing in my right ear - my hubby says I have been struggling for a couple of years as I was always turning the TV up! However this became much worse around Christmas last year - when I was going out and really not understanding a word people were saying - I could tell they

Positive Test but Heavy bleeding
Yesterday I decided to test, so as to stop the medication (why continue with
heparin
shots and progesterone if it is all over?) The FRER was a clear dark positive. Today is even darker. I am still bleeding and it just feels like my normal period....

Tinnitus
I’ve never had tinnitus before. I had a brain tumour removed Jan 16 and have had lots of MRI scans. High pitched ringing started mainly in left ear in January this year. Driving me nuts!! I’ve been to GP who referred me to ENT. Had hearing test (bit low) so now waiting for hearing aids and appointment

ENT wants to see me again after MRI
Hello everyone, I started getting tinnitus in my left ear about 7 months ago. I saw a GP, I had impacted earwax so a nurse removed it about a month later. The tinnitus didn't go away so I saw another GP who referred me to an ENT who sent to see an Audiologist for a hearing test and for an MRI that I

Itchy rash
GP referred him to haematology and they took him off Sintrom and on to
Heparin
injections but the rash continues to spread. Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks in advance if anyone reads and can add information.

Hi My DD aged 8 had to have brain surgery last year and then contracted VM 3 weeks later. Poor little mite was so ill, it was horrendous. Nearly a year on and is still under many consultants and 2 different hospitals for regular checks but I’m just wondering if anyone who’s had VM has suffered with

awaiting diagnosis from MRI suspected AN
I will find out tomorrow if I have AN - had MRI done just over 2 weeks ago - no contrast - had no follow up appointment booked - but that has come through fairly fast. I did call ENT department just on the 2 week point expecting them to say it would be a couple of weeks - and they told me appointment

Heart Diseases and solutions below
Common names for anticoagulants are "warfarin" and "
heparin
." Digitalis makes the heart contract harder when the heart's pumping function has been weakened. It also slows some fast heart rhythms.

Hello people, just thought I would introduce myself and give a short synopsis of my Journey. And also ask for any tips and tricks on how to live with T everyday? So about 8 months ago I was sitting in my office and I heard this high pitch whine, at first I thought it was coming from my computer or something
