ANXIETY DISORDER AND PANIC DISORDER
Hello Great people! I’ve just been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and panic disorder. And it’s affecting my daily functioning and I can’t focus , I’m scared, worrying about unnecessary things. Is it curable? Any help to survive this situation , perhaps things I could do to help me straighten up. Thank

Newly diagnosed seeking advice on surgical options
Hi, Recently diagnosed with S3 Ovarian Cancer and have been given a choice of primary debulking surgery followed by 6 rounds of chemo or interval debulking with the surgery in the middle of 6 rounds. Worried that PDS is more risky/ radical although I’ve been told that it wouldn’t be. Any advice/ experience

Reply to issues with Spleen
Hi, I agree with most of these comments on here that the enlargement of your spleen is an indication perhaps that you are ready for some form of treatment, not removal. I had chemotherapy in 2020 and my spleen was massive. After a treatment cycle of FCR for 6 months and neutropenia sepsis for 10

How can I support my brother?
My brother has advanced prostate cancer and has had surgery. New tests show it has metastasised in his hip. I want to be able to support him but also don't want to say the wrong thing or add to the stress he is already feeling. I would appreciate ANY advice ~ thank you so much.

How to Navigate Prostate Cancers With Actionable Mutations - Grand Rounds Highlights, MedPage Today - 09/26/2023
I'm travelling and using an unfamiliar tablet, so no cut and paste from these linked articles. Note the access to a PDF of the full Grand Rounds paper in the second linked article. It has a useful table and simplified treatment algorithm for those mCRPCa with actionable genetic mutations. [i]

Tubular Adenomas
Hi. I wasn't sure if I should start a new post for this, or just add to my post in Oct/Nov, so I decided to do both. I hope that's okay. I had my colonoscopy two weeks ago. Results were: - internal hemorrhoids - diverticuli - polyps (I don't know size and how many until I see my dr next week

Here we go again!
At my last hospital appointment in February I asked the consultant about his thoughts on masking still and he suggested that as we are having to live with it and the current variants are not serious for most people maybe relaxing with caution or words to that effect. I was happy with that and have enjoyed

New Study : Vitamin B12 boosts cellular reprogramming

Our work suggests that this could in part contribute to the lower tissue repair capacity of older people

I have had antibiotics lately and have thrush in my mouth. I have been prescribed Nystan to take 4 times a day. The nurse /practioner said also rinse my mouth after using my steroid inhaler. The problem is do I rinse and spit or rinse and swallow? Swallowing is so much easier

Hello everyone, I was wonder if any of you experience similar symptoms to mine. I’ve had UC for almost 10 years. Do you experience fullness, similar to bloating in the upper abdomen, after or during eating? It is near the sternum sometimes. I do realize that I eat really really fast which is not

Still waiting …
Quite a while ago I asked my haematologist to refer me to Professor Harrison at Guys, he says he now has eventually sent a letter via ‘snail mail’ ( royal mail) about 3 weeks ago, however Professor Harrison says they haven’t received anything yet. I rang my specialist nurse and asked if it had been sent

Endoscopy frequency
I had an endoscopy when first diagnosed with PA and benign polyps were found. That was nearly 7 years ago; does anyone know if this test should be done regularly? Also, I have had symptoms recently that worry me a bit but they could be a result of the tail end of a lingering virus. I know that PA increases
