For Christmas I received a positive Covid result. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I had an inflamed spine from a long car ride. So i was on solumedrol 1000 mg once a month and PT(My DMT Copaxone). This was working for me. On December 20th another intravenous solumedrol. I became fatigued and had

Best foundation for telangiectasia?
Hi all, Anyone out there found a good foundation to cover telangiectasia on the face? I was diagnosed with systemic sclerosis 3 years ago. I know it seems trivial with all the other things we have to deal with but the redness on my face gets me down sometimes and I wondered if anyone has found the holy

Pain and breathlessness. Specialist says I'm not breathing properly. He has referred me to physio for breathing correctly!
I had a heart bypass op some 20 years ago. I've been diagnosed with my left diaphragm not working properly. Other specialists have said it's asthma and yet another specialist said I've got lung disease. I can only push out 200 to 250 on plastic thingy, sorry forgot what it's called, and have pain

Severe angina symptoms without significant obstruction
I am new to this forum and wonder if anyone can cast any light on my symptoms. Saw GP at the end of August last year with breathlessness on exercise and she diagnosed possible angina. Only 3 weeks before I had spent a whole day working on my allotment but by the time I went to the GP I was struggling

Still irregular pulse
Hi, I have had PAF since 2014. I am lucky that I don't have many symptons apart from a slight thudding feeling in my chest and an irregular pulse. The episodes used to be monthly then I had 6 in a couple of weeks, but for the last 3 years they've been very intermittent for which I'm very grateful. An

Had my third kidney transplant
Hello everyone:) Happy Holidays! 2 weeks ago I received the phone call that they had a kidney for me ..this was very unexpected because I had been told throughout the whole pre transplant process that I would have a living donor through the paired exchange program. My husband would donate to someone

Worried and
Hello all. I am wondering what are criteria for liver transplant? I keep ask my doctor if I need this he keeps saying no. He told my damage of liver out of 10 is 8.5 so I think its big. Also he informed me that 25% of people with my disease could have reverse of damage and MAYBE I HAVE THAT LUCK THAT

Intermittent breathlessness with effort
Hello all and Happy New Year! I would to know if anyone has this. I take 3.75 mg of Bisoprolol and 200 mg slow release Flecanide. I do ok on it apart from a little fatigue. I have one or two episodes of PAfib a month mainly asymptomatic apart from reduction of exercise tolerance. Now and again when

I’m a kidney transplant recipient. I received my kidney 16 months ago. What OTC meds can we take for a head cold?

Heart palpitations/skipped beats after eating dinner?
Hi everyone, I haveTruncus Arteriosus and have had my valve replaced once when I was a baby (due another heart surgery at some point when I need it) So for about over half a year I’ve been having heart palpitations/skipper heart beats after I eat my dinner, normally about 10-20mins after eating. Does

Open Heart Surgery Coming Up: Questions and Advise
Hi all! Happy New Year. I have been lurking around for a while and found some great tips here! My first post/question. I am 45 years old and will have aortic valve replacement next week. Mechanical valve. I will be in blood thinners for life? How bad is bleeding on a minor cut? Or on a nose bleeding

Spironolactone Side Effects
A couple days ago there was a discussion about severe leg swelling due to heart failure. Several of you mentioned better results with Spironolactone than you had with Lasix. I plan to talk to my Dr about it. But can those of you using Spironolactone please let me know about any side effects or problems

Too much safety giving me anxiety!!!
Hi everyone on here. I hope everyone had a Happy New year and is doing well. I haven’t posted in a while and I think it’s due time. Writing on here does give me the support and help I need, especially in these crazy uncertain times. I have OCD, and severe depression. I fell into a deep depression

Advice please
I've had paroxysmal AF for around 3 years and my episodes are extremely erratic. I can go several months with nothing at all and then out of the blue, it'll happen every couple of weeks. I'm on Lisinopril for high blood pressure and was prescribed Bisiprolol and Apixaban when the PAF was finally diagnosed
