Hi everyone, I haveTruncus Arteriosus and have had my valve replaced once when I was a baby (due another heart surgery at some point when I need it)
So for about over half a year I’ve been having heart palpitations/skipper heart beats after I eat my dinner, normally about 10-20mins after eating. Does anyone else get this?

I have palpitations and yes sometimes after I have eaten but then when I focus on it I realise it is Indigestion
I would speak with my Doctor , maybe ask to speak to your Consultants just to check you out
I am sure others that have so much knowledge on here will see your post and be able to give you some better advice when they do but just wanted to say Hello x
A couple of friends have found that eliminating coffee, alcohol, chocolate and spicy foods from their diet substantially reduces arrhythmias. For one it has eliminated them to the point they have come off medication.
I don't know how relevant it is in your case, as there's a vast difference in our ages, but you may want to investigate the condition known as gastrocardiac sydrome (it used to be called Roemheld syndrome) where the stomach pushes against the heart.
It's a bit of a long shot, but you may find some connection.
People with many different heart related issues often get all different types of post meal (post prandial) symptoms. This can be anything and everything from indigestion , pain , discomfort , falling to sleep and even changes that effect your heart rate and blood pressure.Because there are such a variety of often simple to resolve possibilities it is best for someone like yourself who has ongoing health issues to speak to the GP and get a proper check up to get the right advice. Don't hesitate , the sooner you know what it is the quicker it will be under control and unlikely to cause you any further issues.
In the meantime , until you have your appointment , you could try eating smaller , lighter meals with small healthy snacks in between. It can also help to keep yourself well hydrated and especially sip a cool drink during your meal. Give yourself time to eat your meals slowly and enjoy them . Sometimes a little sit down then a little walk can help with your digestion and prevent any pain that comes after you eat. As others have said you could try eliminating things with caffeine , too much sugar or spices one at a time to see if that helps.
