Leg Problems after CABG / Saphenous Vein Harvested
Hi, I had a CABG x 3 about 18 months back (June 2022). During the ops my left saphenous vein was harvested. I had a stroke in the recovery room, however my question is to other folk that have had CABG and vein removal. Do you have any complications with your leg, loss of feeling, feeling heavy,

Are people with recent mechanical valve and aorta replacement, considered vulnerable during heat waves?
Currently in Europe where there is an ongoing heatwave. Surgery just under 3 months ago. I can't see mechanical valve on the list for vulnerable groups during heatwaves. Just checking to see if I am correct in assuming that I should be as careful and sensible as every other person who has not had major

Stressing
I've been a bit quiet for a while but that doesn't mean to say I've stopped running. I've been ringing the changes with my runs and really enjoying them. Our park run was cancelled last week as part of the course was flooded but I got on the treadmill instead. I've also been going to my alternative

CHAD VASc
Last year on a visit to my EP he informed me that at the age of 64 and with a CHAD VASc score of 1 that anti coagulants were not necessary. However as I turn 65 then my score would go to 0 which then does require Anti-c . I am taking Flecainide, bisoprolol along with Magnesium and I am in good health

Statins
I have had RLS for close to 20 years and it has progressively got worse. I am on Pexola 1mg at night. I had heart surgery six years ago and am on 5mg of Zuvamor as a precautionary measure. Should I rather take my heart medication in the morning as I am now reading that it can affect the RLS?

Bisoprolol
I’ve been recently diagnosed with Afib and coronary heart disease and I’m taking Bisoprolol, felodopine and Edoxaban. Since taking them I’ve gained nearly 2 stone. Is this normal?

bradycardia interrupting sleep
I’m waking up during the night with low heart rate 42-48 bpm and a feeling that my heart is labouring. This is usually twice in the night and I often can’t get back to sleep after 4.00am. I think sleeping on my back doesn’t help ( I try not to) and my other half tells me I snore. Tried all the sleep

couldn’t fit a stent, what’s next?
Hi, in February I had a big heart attack after suffering a few in the past. I was admitted to hospital where they tried to fit another stent but couldn’t due to calcification in the LAD. I was discharged with new medication, however I’m anxious to know what’s next. Do I need bypass surgery? With

Very High Reverse T3 level. Should I be concerned.
Out of the blue I decided to get my Reverse T3 level checked as I’ve never had it done before and I was rather curious. I have Central hypothyroidism. I currently take 150 mcgs of Levo , 20 mcgs T3 and 10 mgs of hydrocortisone. My most recent blood results were - TSH - 0 ulU/ml

Convergent ablation procedure
hello all, I have had persistent AF for about a year after a few years of PAF (initially diagnosed as panic attacks). I was on BISOPROLOL 3.25 and Apixaban 2x day. I had a successful CV in February this year and have reduced my BISO to .625. I do not tolerate the drugs well including the anticoagulant

Back in AF.
I had a successful ablation two years ago in May 2021.A couple of days ago I felt a bit weak and instinctively checked my pulse to find that it was erratic. I lay down on the bed and after 10 minutes or so it reverted back to Sinus Rhythm. The same thing happened on the following day. Before my ablation

Pre Syncope/Right Bundle Branch Block
PAF for a number of years now, fairly well controlled with medication of Flecainide, Apixaban, Bisoprolol. The last 3 months episodes of AF have increased. But worryingly for the first time I've had 3 episodes of Pre syncope a couple of second period where I think I'm going to pass out. After effects
