Journey of Confusion
My wife's journey of confusion started on the 29th Jan 2023 when FINALLY she was diagnosed with Atypical Parkinsonism - Likely Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, this was the day our world ended at 51yrs old........ No age I'm led to believe. We had been waiting to see a Neurologist since 2021 when we

The results came in 12dp5dt with a
hcg
of 343. It’s been a long journey so far and I know it’s just the beginning of the next journey. But oh my goodness the shock when the doctor told us I was speechless for the first time in my life. 😂😂 for everyone out there … keep going.

My son, age 22, just diagnosed with Testicular Cancer
Blood work came back - AFP 697.9,
hCG
-B 1307.4, and LDH was normal at 189. Based on those numbers - thinking non-seminoma testicular cancer. But I am new to this. 6 days. Yesterday - he went back to Baylor (10 hours away) for his last semester of college.

Pregnancy disrupts the accuracy of automated fT4 immunoassays
Pregnant women have high TBG concentrations due to an increase in human chorionic gonadotropin (
hCG
) and estrogen and lower albumin concentrations which change the equilibrium and may affect the validity of fT4 measurements in their samples.

heart and asthma
I have chronic asthma. Over last year or so I’ve become increasingly breathless. my chest is heavy and tight and I struggle to breathe on any exertion. Even getting dressed and bathing is a big problem, on the last few months I’ve got chest pain if I don’t stop to reset when getting so breathless. I

Follow Up
Hi guys, I know you will remember the farce that was my treatment - so no no need to do 10 A4 worth of words. Just say last year I never got a follow up - until almost a year later. This time I had my BCG treatment for BC and a week Wednesday I have a Cystoscopy to see if the treatment has worked

miscarriage :(
They done bloods - my
HCG
was 201 , but my progesterone we only 2! 😔 they told me I’ve already had a miscarriage or I’m likely to very shortly. I haven’t had any heavy bleeding so I’m presuming it’s yet to come.

Lost faith in the medical profession. Bacterial meningitis.
Hi, I started feeling ill on 12th February 2023 with high fever, uncontrollable shivering, projectile vomiting and diarrhoea. Thought I had food poisoning, then the headache hit me which I put down to dehydration from the sickness. After 3 days I felt I was getting worse and made contact with GP practice

Bisoprolol withdrawl after only 3 weeks
I have been taking Bisoprolol 1.25mg for 2 weeks, I stopped after 2 weeks and felt fine for 3 days and then I woke up around 2:20am with a HR of 125bpm. This continued for 3 more hours and eventually subsided. I decided to bite a tablet in half and take that and things seemed to settle for a bit but

Possible Miscarriage or Period
My
hcg
levels came back at 1,053. I was sure it was a miscarriage but they said my levels were still a bit high. They sent me home without giving me a simple answer after all of the tests I had done. I was wondering if this could be a possible miscarriage? Could it be a period?

Frer question, sorry in advance! *possibly sensitive
Bottom frer is obviously 12dp5dt… My question is… is this looking like my
hcg
is increasing at a decent rate or should I be worried that todays test is no darker than yesterdays? They were all FMU. I’m hoping it was just a late implanter and now
HCG
is going up rapidly!

*sensitive* beta HCG results and progesterone results 11dp5dt
Hi everyone, to give you an update, just got my
HCG
results back (I am 11dp5dt) as official test day and it’s at 492! Really shocked and relieved 😭🫶🏼🥰 Interestingly though my progesterone has dipped, I had it originally drawn the day before my transfer and it was 45, and today it was 36.5.

update re full blood tests and 24hr Holter fitted at my GP surgery
My GP should have telephoned me on Friday to discuss both issues, call never happened. I have spoken to Receptionist today who checked my notes and said bloods no further action. I have asked for a printout of my results for my file. As far as the ECG was concerned the Receptionist said she didn’t
