It's not working.
At the third attempt to reduce Prednisolone down the Osteoradionecrosis in my Right jaw has flared up causing intense pain, sleeplessness and inability to eat. The great Vision of my various professionals is for me to reduce to 5mg and then commence Hydrocortisone 5mg morne/10mg nocte as apparently Hydrocortisone

Very dry skin
Had HA and stent fitted last December. On aspirin, clopidogrel, bisoprolol, ramipril, atovorstatin, pantoprazole. Has anyone experienced very dry skin all over, especially on legs? I am using aqueous cream twice a day but skin keeps flaking off. Would one of these tablets cause this? Lily

Eczema
Hi James Following is a copy of an email I posted some 5 years ago relating to the success I had in curing my eczema. Sadly I received no replies from other sufferers so I have no idea if I am the only person to benefit from my fortunate cure. If you are interested I would suggest immediately trying

Happy Easter everyone and hope you are having a lovely weekend. The sun is shining here (UK) this morning and so that always helps. In my previous posts - I mentioned that a private Endo thought that I may have adrenal suppression - based on symptoms. Low blood pressure and heart racing the main ones

Underarm Rash
I've had a recurring rash in my armpits for at least 2 years. It itches and ranges from mildly red to small bumps to hives. I have seen the dermatologist and tried Tacrolimus, Triamcinolone Acetonide, Serniv, 2% Hydrocortisone, and Muciprocin. Some help a minor amount but it always comes back. Has anyone

Phimosis stretching methods or techniques?
Hi, I have recently been to a gp who believes i have phimosis. I'm not sure how bad it is however, because they were vague in their description. My penis is quite tight, and sometimes can be uncomfortable... the doctor prescribed an antiseptic cream from memory, but im wondering if there are stretching

Tapering off inhaled steroids due to steroid induced adrenal insufficiency
Tapering off inhaled steroids Seretide has completely suppressed my adrenals. I mean completely. It's been going on for years, but doctors don't 'see' it. An endo saw my low cortisol years ago but didn't act. Now it's gone... ccan my adrenals ever come back? Hospital can't predict. Hospital want me

Endo ZOOM appointment, Adrenal Insufficienccy or Mast Cell Activation
Hi all I just finished a zoom with a Dr Zachariah. Anyone know him. He practices from the Spire - Gatwick and another hospital too - I think Brighton. He thinks the low blood pressure, heart racing / wobbles is probably due to adreanl insufficiency / suppression. I am of the opinion that it could be

Tight foreskin/cracking
Hi there. I'm 23 and I was wondering if anybody can help me with an issue that I've had for a while now, or if you've experienced it yourself and have come a solution. Every now and again, my foreskin cracks which makes it difficult to retract - and extremely sore especially when urinating as you can

prednisolone to hydrocortisone ?
I've been steadily reducing my prednisolone, currently down to 8mg (started on 93mg). Now I have received a letter from an "endocrinologist" which suggests I convert to hydrocortisone (20mg morning, 10mg lunchtime, 10mgs evening initially). It doesn't really explain why, etc. I am assuming hydrocortisone

Eczema, Rosacea or both?
Hello all, I'm new here. After having several appointments with the GP with no result I wanted to seek some advice online before splashing the cash on a private dermatologist. I'll start by saying I've had eczema all my life (25, male) and as I've gotten older it's been manageable with a topical steroid

Hydrocortisone and tapering...........
If one is on HC as a pred replacement, what happens if one has a suspected PMR flare............ would one raise the HC at the same percentage as one would do with pred??? (HC needs about four times the pred dose i assume).......,,,,,,,, Then , if staying on HC for a while ,does the tapering doses

What is ‘SICK’ as in sick day rules?
On Wednesday last 9 March I went for my second Synacthen Test. That night while watching TV my fingers found a lump on top of my Adam’s Apple. I bathed it with a hot compress but it was no better by Friday (still very red and angry with a white tip) so I eventually got through to the GP surgery. My

Endocrinologist and Hydrocortisone
Hello all After many months of waiting I finally got to see an Endocrinologist as I have been unable to reduce prednisolone below 3mg without feeling really ill and in fact have been on 4mg since November. My 9am cortisol test was in the 200s. I have a little stiffness in the usual places at times but

What is going on with my shoulders
My PMR symptoms were never exactly like what is typical. My PMR pain was in my upper legs. However, I have a bad back and lots of pain from that so I don't notice any different pain in my hips. This all started 5 years ago. After 3 years I had to stop taking prednisone because I developed severe osteoporosis

Adrenal Insufficiency - it is possible to recover with severe asthma?
So it was confirmed that I have secondary adrenal insufficiency the other week. They did also look at Primary but my blood results have shown that it is down to the steriods taken for my asthma. My cortisol level was again below 28 and unreadable but surprisingly my ACTH came back at 49. Renin was high
