I was diagnosed with GCA in February 2017 and started on 60mgs Prednisolone. Regular blood tests and consultant rheumatology visits followed. A year later I was diagnosed with PMR. In January 2018 I was told I had steroid induced Diabetes and commenced on Metformin. I have frequent chest infections

Further Update: Multiple Chest Infections
A few people have asked for an update when I get it. Last week I had several blood tests and a sputum sample. Yesterday, my GP asked me to come into the office because I was relapsing after going off of the prednisone for the third time in about 3 weeks and he listened to my chest. He stated I was still

Hi. First post, think I have MCAS, feeling overwhelmed
Occasional

Am I being unreasonable re pet "allergies"?
I notice my dog allergy when I'm around other people's pets, because I get my asthma symptoms plus
hay
fever
type symptoms. My previous Dr was a gem, and supported my hypothesis that my stress was the biggest trigger.

Mycophenolate effects
Hi, I have posted before last year. I live in Ireland but this site is excellent. I was diagnosed with Wegeners/GPA exactly ten years ago - very severe in sinuses and lungs, induced for 18 days. Negligible renal effect but flared in my kidneys in spring last year i.e. 2019. My renal/vasculitis consultant

Hay fever & Bronchiectasis
Hi everyone My
hay
fever
has been bad the past two weeks but since Wednesday, I have started coughing. A couple of times I have brought up green stuff. A quick Google informed me that any
hay
fever
related mucus as a Bronch sufferer should be clear?

Asthma management update :)
Hi all, hope your keeping safe. So it’s been a week since my last cigarette so that’s going ok :) I have another chest x ray tomorrow as there was some slight scarring on the bottom of my lungs on a x ray from jan. They think it’s caused by a bad infection in the past and that’s why I cough up more

Hi I have pain like a stabbing ache on my back as above. If I press on it it’s extremely sore. Is this a PMR thing pls, I’ve had it for 3 months now and chest X-ray and CAT scan show nothing sinister. Thanks

Advice on respiratory issues.
Hi all. I recently had a chest x ray in September, a mid way request as my scan is not due until February. It was fine. However I have noticed that occasionally it feels as if something has hit my respiratory system making me cough, it could be a smell that I am not familiar with. I am reluctant
