Iron - wishful thinking
:-) But not a decent forum which specialises in ferritin, transferrin,
haemoglobin
, etc. All too often, I think iron gets viewed as an issue you get suffer because of something else. Not important enough in its own right to need, to deserve, a separate forum.

Confused about diagnosis
At my next consultation the platelets had decreased to 462, but the WBC had increased to 10.3, RBC to 5.3,
Haemoglobin
to 17.8 and HCT to .518, so Hydroxy was increased to 9 tablets a week.

Further info on blood panel
There are a few "just" out of range readings for
haemoglobin
/cell size but I've just been diagnosed with another condition which can also cause this. It needs to be fixed independently of this issue but it's obviously not helping.

Another CLL ‘wobble’, seems like I’m ‘losing it’ slightly.
The CLL specialist has said in his referring letter that: [i]”His blood counts show
haemoglobin
137 g/L, white cell count 34.39 x 109/L, platelet count is satisfactory overall. The rest of the numbers in terms of liver function test and renal function test are stable.”

Second Reaccurrence
After some dose reductions I settled down to it quite well apart from from blood transfusions due to low
haemoglobin
. However, at my last CT scan this June my lymph nodes had swollen suggesting the rucaparib was no longer working.

SCT Indicators
For now my platelets are normal and
haemoglobin
the baseline normal. My neutrophils however are only 0,9, so trying to monitor and increase these. My question to those that have had SCT, is what was your deciding factor and at what age did you have it done?
