my recent blood test show that my haemoglobin A12 level is borderline .Does this indicate that I should increase my SI of B12?Have been feeling more exhausted of late.

Doypu mean serum b12 level is borderline as well as haemoglobin level?Going by your symptoms you may need more b12

Thankyou for your prompt reply.This was just haemoglobin level shown as part of a routine blood test.No action was taken by my general practise at the time.As I am rationed by them to 6wkly dosage of IM B12 which I am allowed to do myself I add my own 3wkly and thus my query as to “ is it enough”

Go by how you feel .We all have to go by trial and error .

Have a 2 weekly trial ?

Takes time to fin the right frequency for you .

Good you got 6 weekly however on prescription.

Always possible to push for more on prescription .

Only you know your surgery

Borderline haeamaglobin.

Perhsos take a multivit . Up to you .

Has about 14 mg iron in usually

Oh ,just seen you mean the haemoglobin a1c test was borderline .

In which case different as concerned with blood sugar levels not iron levels in the blood .

You have a good point there. A12 means nothing to me, other than the road from London to Lowestoft. A1c however is another matter entirely!
