Anyone got haemochromotosis?
Because I have secondary polycethemia like others here (too much
haemoglobin
, a quite usual compensation for low oxygen), my GP sent me for a test to rule out haemochromotosis, an inherited iron overload condition.

Update
At my last visit my
haemoglobin
level was 88g/L and now it is 79. A quicker drop than I was expecting. Was offered a blood transfusion. Figured I would avoid transfusions until the next step is decided, which is probably going down the SCT route.

Unusual sensation, low haemoglobin.
I tried twice to give blood recently but was rejected as my
haemoglobin
was too low, but the blood test came back as normal, 127 g/l. If anyone has any idea what might be causing this, I'd be grateful for your input.. Thank you

Fed up!
Saw GP last week and my
haemoglobin
Is higher than what it should be so said I need to take an aspirin a day as at risk of dvt etc! Anyone else have this? She said this can account for my symptoms too.

Foods to boost iron levels
One of them, especially for women and especially for postpartum women can be due to low iron and a low level of
haemoglobin
. Fatigue results in the blood simply not being sufficiently oxygenated as
haemoglobin
is the protein that carries oxygen in our blood.
