My low ferritin saga continues
His response I'm sure will cause some amusement for all the wrong reasons - he said " low ferritin levels in the absence of low
haemoglobin
are of no clinical significance and do not require any action - we will only give supplements if
haemoglobin
is low i.e. anaemic".

Any help? My doctors are useless
Had a blood test done two days ago and my hematocrit is 55% my hematocrit of 44% is classed as high my
haemoglobin
is 168 and the optimal range is 155 (high end)alongside my liver and calcium levels and my ferritin has dropped again to 26. My TSH was 2.90 optimal range of 0.25-4.90.

Monitoring when starting Folic Acid and Ferrous fumerate
A rise in the
haemoglobin
level and an increase in the reticulocyte count to above the normal range indicates that treatment is having a positive effect. If there is no improvement following initial B12 treatment, check serum folate level (if this has not been done already).

Low dose aspirin
Looking back on past blood tests I noticed that since I was put on the low dose aspirin, due to being diagnosed with angina at the beginning of last year, my
haemoglobin
levels have dropped a bit although not to the point of being anemic until now.

Myelofibrosis - GVHD - graft, versus, host, disease
After giving many different blood samples at haematology I was told my

Fatigue
Good Day Everyone My question is, should I be feeling fatigued with lymphocytes around 43 and
haemoglobin
at 12.1 g/dl or could the fatigue be caused by some other blood deficiency such as iron or vitamin B12.

Recovery from stress/burnout
Most recent blood results: T4 - 18.2 (12-22), TSH - 2.39 (0.3-4.2),
Haemoglobin
132 (120-150), ESR, RBC, kidney function “-all normal”. In A & E at the end of April they said my ferritin and potassium levels were low, but it seems my GP didn’t re-test these.
