Help understanding the levels - Doc says I am subclinical?
TSH level 5.78 (range 0.35-5.5) FT4 11.1 (range 11-23) comment is 'high' but also MCH (mean corpuscular
haemoglobin
) is 32.3 (range (27 - 31) and comment is 'high' . I see from googling (!) the 2 are linked? Doc wants to leave me a month and test again - what are your thoughts?

Have recent abdominal swelling but normal results from liver function blood test. Haemoglobin slightly raised. Am alcoholic.
Also, after abstaining for about a week, abdominal swelling had reduced, then I drank a 2-litre bottle of white cider, and watched and felt my abdomen swelling. Felt a rushing of liquid in my left side as abdomen swelled. Addaction peeps recommend I ask GP to send me for a scan, as LFTs are notoriously

Iron Deficiency Symptoms
* Measures the amount of
haemoglobin
in the red blood cells. This test can determine if you are anaemic, and often gives a good idea as to the cause of anaemia. But, as there are many different causes of anaemia, there may be some doubt as to the cause of the anaemia.

Blood tests
print out my last full blood count results but at first glance they might as well have been in a foreign language, I have managed to look some up on the Lab Tests on line website, but to be honest I am not that much wiser other than they all seem to be in the middle of the results expected apart from

Who's a naughty boy then?
The chemo, plus 2 units of
haemoglobin
and a dose of magnesium and potassium intravenously, meant we were rather late getting home to set off, 5.30 pm to be precise. We rushed around to put the last bits in the 'van and fully load up the car.

Injury, recovery and restart...
My body needed oxygen, which my blood cannot bring fast enough because it doesn't contain enough oxygen-carrying red cells (
haemoglobin
), which are made by iron.

BRCAness is anyone aware of this ???
The only change in my blood was the platelets had doubled but the
haemoglobin
was down. The Prof had it all arranged for when I went into his room and I am to continue on Cisplatin and Gemcitibane with with a 30% reduction in Cisplatin.

Iron/Haemoglobin and Singulair/Montekulast
Hi there, I'm going to see my GP tomorrow about this particular problem, so I'm not requesting medical advice as such, but thought I'd post on here anyway to see if anyone else has had any similar experience. I've been taking Montekulast for about three weeks now, and it has helped my chest and helped

First Chemo session today
Slight downside today, my CT scan last thursday shows I have a few more enlarged lymph nodes, and my
haemoglobin
has dropped 1.3 in the last week, so may have to have a transfusion. They'll see how I am midway between this cycle and the next one.
