Rivaoxiban
Due to a low
haemoglobin
level I was told to stop taking them, although early days (a month) it appears to have cured my palpitations. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with Rivaoxiban? Low
haemoglobin
and palpitations?

Where do you do your fingerprick tests?
I've always gone for site A (disclaimer, I've just done my third fingerprick test, so not a huge amount of experience), when I give blood that's where they prick you to check your
haemoglobin
. It just seemed 'right'.

On NDT - Need help with latest results, please.
Only things highlighted as regularly low are
haemoglobin
, haematocrit and MCH, globulin just over range but no-one seems to worry about them.

ANOTHER FLARE + LOW HAEMOGLOBIN
Apart from the flare which will mean I’ll no doubt have to go even higher with the steroids, I was wondering whether there could be any connection between the flare and low
haemoglobin
result.

Blood levels after trauma
Since then my haematrocrit (.29) and
haemoglobin
(91) are low and not recovering to their usual levels (.44 and 135). Had few mixed messages whether levels will stabilise and how quickly. Other investigations happening too. Anyone got experience of level rate rise after blood loss. Thanks.

Could it be ET?
Haemoglobin
fine, mcv ok but iron binding and transferrin index showed iron may be low so she has given me 3 months of ferrous fumarate to see if thrombocytosis is reactive . Since then I have asked for a print out of all my blood results as far back as they go.

Ferritin levels & iron supplements
I have trouble holding onto / keeping ferritin optimal but every blood test says
haemoglobin
is high in range so I have not been anaemic in the traditional sense. Blood test just before lock down the doctor described my
haemoglobin
as “robust” but hadn’t tested ferritin.
