I am 72 years old male with no health issues except high creatinine.

I have incorporated strict control on potassium phosphorus sodium and protein.

: As compared to report of 1 month back:

Creatinine is down from 1.85 to 1.74

Protein down from 6.7 to 6.28

Globulin down from2.4 to 2.26

Haemoglobin down from 13.4 to 12.80

Packed cell volume down from 38.9 to 36.10

Red blood cell count down from 4.09 to 3.81

Any comments from any one or any suggestion.

I find that my haemoglobin and RBC are down.

Any possible treatment for improving

Your eGFR (estimated Glomular Filtration Rate) is the indictor of how your Kidneys are Functioning, and tells stage of Chronic Kidney Disease.

My cystatin c has improved considerably. In December 19 it was 1.64. ON 25TH MAY IT WAS 1.46 AND ON 25TH JUNE IT IS 1.18

I UNDERSTAND THAT CYSTATIN C IS ALSO MARKER FOR CKD.

Yes according to labtestonline it is a alternative to eGFR test and is used when results may be misleading. So far I have never had cystatin C test.

Because we are advise against too much red meat within allowances that can affect our RBC. Ensure eating green vegetables high in Iron and there is a good food supplement called Blackstrap Molasses to buy in Health food stores. It is like dark honey and quite sweet but high in Iron content. Hope this helps .
