High haemoglobin mystery - any connection with my T3?
So I then googled 'high
haemoglobin
' and 'thyroid' and it seems that having an overactive thyroid can cause this. Of course the NHS would believe that I did have this as my TSH has been below range ever since I went on T3 so many years back.

But my last 2 tests were not so good
haemoglobin
up to 188. and scan has shown spleen now at 18.8 from 15 last year. my consultant has usually been very positive with prognosis, but this time she would not be drawn when I asked her how it might change. needless to say I came away very anxious and depressed

Haemoglobin
is about 140-165 g/L .Haematocrit is 0.4-.52. Low to medium risk category with no symptom for PV ( as described in literature) I would like to hear from those of you who use the same medication and have experience with it as well as specialists who know more of the above.

Haemoglobin
A/C 38 (25-41) My Red blood count was slightly higher than the reference level. My Ferritin was 49, which is low. I having been eating iron rich foods, but this just gives me too much iron in my blood & doesn't improve my Ferritin levels. . Does anyone know a way around this?

A bit confused
My husband was diagnosed 4 years ago with Cirrhosis and has been in and out of two different hospitals but the only thing anyone has spoken to us about is low
haemoglobin
resulting in a blood transfusion and ensuring his albumen is replaced during Ascites drains. Thank you.

I also got my
haemoglobin
121 (115-145) and ferritin 4.4 (10-200) checked. This doesn’t look too good. My periods are very heavy since after its return after pregnancy and breastfeeding which was November 2020. I’m now 43 and I’m wondering if this is perimenaupose.
