high hemoglobin levels
You have had your review with your GP or other health professional. If they had been concerned about elevated haemoglobin levels they would have flagged it up, and offered some suggestions for treatment if that was deemed necessary. If they haven't and you still have doubts why not go back to them and ask for clarification? They have all your test results plus your medical record and are, importantly, qualified to give the appropriate response.
people with some heart conditions sometimes develop raised haemoglobin levels as the body tries to make up for the reduced efficiency of the heart's action by increasing the blodd's capacity to carry oxygen (in the haemoglobin) - it's like laying on bigger delivery lorries if the frequency of deliveries is cut
Hi when my bloods have been out of range my doctor asked me to have it done again in 1 months time, with me I had a meds change through my Gp pharmacist and the hospital, then they monitor me again to check the levels are better.
It seems like your doctor is doing the correct thing having you do follow up bloods in a months time. Once that is done I’m sure they will decide what action to take, if any, if it is still out of range.
Finger of suspicion pouting at Eplerenone as one side effect reported as change in blood test results, including raised triglycerides. This is the most recent medication change I have had.
