Side effects after a dose increase?
Hi, I have been on levothyroxine for around 18 months. To start with, my results were always 'subclinical' with my TSH around 5. I was symptomatic (cold, fatigue, puffy, aches) and prescribed 25 levo which was increased to 50 after 12 weeks. I was left on 50 for around a year and then bumped up to 75

Latest results and problems raising dose
TL;DR - should I continue to try increasing my NDT dose slightly (from 1.75 to 2 grains per day, split dosing) based on the test results below, though I am getting some symptoms after increase (mild anxiety, hot flushes and sweats, and palpitations)? Further info/details below the results Inflammation

Research paper about T3/T4combination treatment. What happened there?
I became aware of this through "Endocrinology Advisor": https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38124252/ The link to the paper was not given. I found it myself. "Conclusions: Six months of combination therapy with twice-daily LT3 dose adapted according to TSH-level do not significantly change peripheral tissue

31 eggs but only 1 blastocyst
Iām wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and can offer any advice. After natural 1st baby, struggled to conceive second time. We were recommended ICSI due to partnerās low mobility count. I have high AMH (30) at age 38 and stims went (too) well with 31 eggs collected, 24 of which were mature

GP vs. Endocrinologist
I am under the care/supervision of an endocrinologist.āØI was diagnosed with underactive thyroid over 20 years ago. My GP is aware and agreed that my endocrinologist takes blood samples and ātweaksā my dose of medicines accordingly. My blood test results from the Endocrinologist on 11 July 2023

Doctor recommendation needed
Hi All, After a year of painful meetings liaising with my NHS endocrinologist, I had enough. She reluctantly prescribed T3 but did not really bother about following up or testing vitamins or overall health. My GP tries but he is clueless on thyroid related issues other than where normal TSH should be

Hashimotos, just starting Levothyroxine
Hi all, I have been feeling exhausted and not myself recently and my GP did a raft of tests to see if there were any obvious causes. I tested positive for Thyroid peroxidase antibodies and my TSH was elevated at 4.7, so they retests and it came back 6.3 They've agreed to start me on Levothyroxine

Hot flashes from lack of estrogen
I have had anorexia for 27 yrs now. I'm 39 female. For the past 6 months or so I have been having severe hot flashes and I got my hormones checked at the gynecologist and she told me that I have low estrogen due to the malnutrition caused by the anorexia which is making my pituitary gland not produce

If these were your results what would you do?
So despite increasing my T3 dose my FT3 is staying at 5. My FT4 is falling. My symptoms are mostly in check these days but the fatigue and malaise is creeping higher again and it's starting to inhibit what I can do. (Noting that my estrogen is below range and I'm hoping to start HRT soon.) I'm sporadic

Transitioning from NDT to T3 (slowly) - anyone done this? Or combines NDT with t3?
Hello there, After many years unsuccessfully on Levo, then NDT, NDT+T4, I'm trying NDT and T3...and it's tricky. My timing might be incorrect, I take now 3 daily doses and I'm feeling overmedicated in the afternoon (tight chest, dizzy, weird energy, hunger, sweaty feet, blurry vision etc.). I take

secondary hypo and doctor questioning diagnosis
Hello everyone, I moved to a new GP in the last few years (house move). When I moved, my doctor just continued prescribing levothyroxine because it was on my records and although he wasn't testing T3 he did look at T4 and seemed to listen to me when I explained the levels I needed to be at, in order
