51 yr old woman with lots of symptoms needing help understanding results!
Hello! There is a history of thyroid disorders in my family (sister, mum, grandmother). I have increasingly more health issues that may or may not be also linked to peri-menopause although I have been on HRT for a while. I have high cholesterol, hearing loss (non age-related, unexplained), muscle pains

Recent iron results - not sure what to do now
Hi everyone, I've recently had an iron panel (NHS) after 10 weeks of supplementing with 1 then 2 x Three arrows per day, as well as taking cacao liquid (as recommended here) in the hope of increasing my stubbornly low ferritin. However I'm not sure how to read the results so any advice very welcome

Supplement overkill?
Hello, after my cancelled egg collection I am now going privately. During this time I’ve read ‘it starts with the egg’ and as I am 33 with an AFC of 4 and AMH of 3. something I started taking everything! Now I’m worried it is a bit overkill and also it’s really expensive. I know it’s hard for someone

Blood test with GP want to be armed with information
Hi I am due to have a blood test with my GP surgery for my thyroid. This is the annual one. I use a combination of levo and also use NDT which I source myself. My GP isn’t aware of my NDT nor do I have any intention of telling them. Every year since my old GP retired it is a constant battle to

It it normal for levels to change so much in two weeks? (TTC after loss)
TW: miscarriage Unfortunately had a miscarriage on 1st July. Since then I had a thyroid test at the GP and carried out my own at home finger prick test because I wanted to check out my antibodies and vitamin levels before TTC again. 13 July: TSH 1.35 (0.35-5.5) T4: 17.5 (10.5-21) Attached latest

Prescribed Thyroxine at last!
I have finally been prescribed 75mg of Thyroxine after many years struggling with symptoms. My question is how long will it take to feel like my old self from your experiences. I am booked in for next blood test in 6 weeks. Serum TSH level 6.41 mIU/L [0.3 - 5.5]; Borderline hypothyroid results (TSH

TPO is 74. T4 13.9. TsH 0.74. I'm suffering hypo symptoms. Why won't they offer treatment?
Hi people, I'm new to this forum but am a member of the brain injury forum. I'm curious why no treatment is offered till your body has destroyed your thyriod? I've had awful symptoms that both reflect hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism since my injury in 2018 but predominantly hypo, once to the point

How bad is TSH 18?
For several years TSH has been consistent, thyroxine stayed the same at 100mcg. Last year TSH was 1.8, this year - 18!!! I know this is bad, but just how bad is it? I can't find anything helpful online, all any site seems to give is the normal range. They're going to begin by adding another 25mcg with

thyroid test results
I wrote on here before about my results and you really helped. I’ve been trying to raise my ft4 and lower my tsh. I had been on 25mg levothyroxine and increased in increments of 25. After the first increase to 50 my tsh went down and ft4 up, increased to 75, first test after that ft4 rose slightly but

Mornings are torture. Racing heart first thing every single morning & exhausted (Hypo)?
Hi and thanks for any help! I am so unsure and worried what is going on. Can these be symptoms of hypo? It’s just I read these are more related to Hyper? but my bloods def are not showing hyper. I wasn’t too bad after I began 50mcg T4, then I increased to 62.5 as 75 felt too big a jump and I’m on

Is it OK if T4 is 12.2, and Free T4 14.9 please? Does the T4 affect how u feel or is the Free T4 the important element?

Does having a goitre always mean you have a thyroid problem. Asking for someone else
Hi I don't and never have had a goitre so I can't use my experience to help. I'm working with someone who has developed a large goitre. She has pain in her neck, radiating to her ear, she has a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, gall bladder removed, type 2 diabetes amongst other things. She has been told her
