HRT and migraines
I'd be interested to know if there are women out there who can definitely say that taking HRT has helped them with migraines. I know that the research says that there is no evidence that it helps, if anything, probably makes it worse. Or were you prescribed some medication for menopause and it actually

Newly diagnosed
Hello, Just yesterday I have been diagnosed with subclinical hashimotos hypothyroidism. Starting on a dose of levothyroxine 50mg once a day. As my TSH is only slight elevated I was just wondering what I can expect going forward in terms of dosage. I completely get that it will be different for everyone

Discrimination against central/secondary hypothyroidism
Just had a phone call from a GP at my health practise. They had asked for advice from the endocrinologists at the local hospital. This was because my blood test results indicate that my TSH does not rise as my T4 falls and I have hyperthyroid symptoms plus ultrasound scan showing thyroiditis. Apparently

FT3 often higher than FT4; are my symptoms even hypo?
Hello everyone! I've been hypo now for a bit more than two years. Probably three or more, but diagnosed 2 years ago, and also taken levo since then. As doctors can be a bit difficult, and I have felt with no other choice, I have raised my levo dose myself several times. Otherwise I would still be

Just a follow up to my post last week
Wanted to say a special thank you to Jaydee1507 and SlowDragon for giving me their very kind and most informative advice. I was feeling quite stressed at the prospect of having to have a telephone consultation with my GP and feared a low TSH was going to result in being told a reduction in levo would

How to ask the GP for a referral letter
I've been given details of an endo who may be able to help me, he's NHS linked but I would see him privately (at least initially). However he requires a GP's referral letter. Any advice on how to ask my NHS GP for this as I've never had an NHS acknowledgement of my Hashi's (my TSH has never been anywhere

advice, thoughts please, feeling rather desperate?!
hi I only got one response to my recent post which was so kind but no feedback so am trying again as I’m a bit stumped. I’d hoped going on NDT would relieve fibro symptoms and generally help me feel better, and give me more energy, but despite latest test results I don’t feel that much different. Certainly

TPO Antibodies & Fertility Problems
Hello, just wondered peoples thoughts or experiences? I have never been diagnosed with a thyroid issue but after near 2 years of TTC and 2 miscarriages I do wonder if things could be better in the TSH/TPO antibody side of things. My GP has never shown a concern with it I have basically had to beg her

what to ask GP
I’ve been on a low dose of Levo for about 3 years. It took ages to get up to 50mg a day as I’m really sensitive to it. Because of palpitations, tummy upsets etc I now split 50mg into two separate doses ; 25mg in morning and 25mg at night and I’ve been fine doing this since December last year. My test

Any experiences of Serum IVF clinic or ARK IVF clinic, Athens?? IVF-Spain, Alicante??
Hello everyone. Hope you're well and the best you can be, no matter where you are in your journey to parenthood🌈😀 I'm looking at clinics abroad to start IVF for the first time in my 40's (low AMH, own eggs) and been in touch with a few clinics about initial visits/tests. I just wanted to find out

Hypo after all?
Hello everyone, this is my first post, though I’ve been gleaning pearls of wisdom from this site for a couple of years, so thank you all! I’m a 60-year-old male. I’ve had chronic fatigue since 1988; tight forehead pain and a horrible “saturated brain” feeling since the late 1990s (brought on by reading

Thyroxine drop
I am wondering if anyone can tell me when I am likely to get some energy back following a drop in Thyroxine. I had been on 125mcg eighteen months ago, was dropped to 100mcg a year ago, down to 75mcg seven weeks ago and now down to 50mcg as of last week. My TSH is way below where it should be and my
