There is hope.
There is hope. I was in AFIB for years probably 10 or more, as I hit 60 yrs old it got worse, really so bad I couldn't keep up with simple things like walking, stairs became exhausting, back in June I was taking a friend to hospital, after a flight of stairs I went grey in the face and breathless, straight

Rapid taper before adrenals shut down
I also subscribe to a pmr forum on Facebook. The following was on the site yesterday. The poster has recently been diagnosed and wants to taper to as low as possible before her adrenals shut down in three weeks. Have any of you heard of this approach? "I’m newly diagnosed and was helped tremendously

Interesting
I saw my ⭐️ Nurse today who has been helping me with my bladder incontinence. She recognised my bowel incontinence and treatment that would help long before the consultants got around to seeing me. For my bladder, we are using internal muscle stimulation. It will be some time before we can start biofeedback

meben, alben and fenben dosages
has anyone seen any info on what the dosages are for mebendazole, albendazole and fenbendazole? Well, I know Panacur C/fenben is 222mg/gram - but I've never seen anything about what people take in mebendazole and albendazole dosages for the same effects as fenben.

Felcainide vs. Tikosyn
I've been on flecainide since my ablation in July, 2017. I still continue to have episodes of afib and aflutter which can last a few minutes to a few days. My cardiologist would like me to switch to tikosyn but is leaving the decision up to my EP. I'll be seeing my EP soon and would like to discuss

Brufen is helping
Hi everyone I wondered if I could get your opinions. After starting steroids again in August (I too was driven to focus on getting to club zero! ) I have stayed at 5 mgs. I paid to see a consultant who basically agreed that I had some sort of inflammatory rheumatic condition! He also agreed the course

Heart Rate Drop
Hi all, my heart drops to 39 or 40 once daily or so and I’m getting worried as don’t have cardiologist at the moment. I’m on Eliquis and Tildiem (60mg twice daily). Is this common? Also my HR went to 197 the other day then returned to normal. Confused. Thank you for any help.

Sweet syndrome
Thank you to everyone who has replied to my erythema nodosum post. I saw a wonderful new rheumy on Friday who recognised my latest episode as the very rare Sweet syndrome. Another auto immune disease. However my PMR has completely resolved. My joint issues now are related to this neutrophillic disorder

Wrist Arthritis
I am in my early 80s and have had a form of arthritis off and on in either wrist for about 20 years but just recently I have had a quite severe 'attack'. I also experienced for the first time ever an attack of gout in my left foot. I read an article suggesting that arthritis and gout may happen together

Is the anticoagulant "Dabigatran" relevant to PD? Perhaps, but with some serious drawbacks
Interesting that the anticoagulant drug Dabigatran (PRADAXA) is getting press for the recent mice study which showed little to no memory loss in ALZ mice over a 12 month study period. When you think about both diseases, the transition to PD seems possible since ALZ and PD share many of the same, if
