Increased Methotrexate causing bloody urine/stools.

This time next week we'll be waiting to board the plane!

Yesterday I notice what I think is frank blood in my urine and stools. Today it's still there and after telling Mark I've done a little online research and think the answer is my recent increase in Mt injection.

I've been alternating between 17.5 and 20mgs each week.

I will get an emergency appt with my doctor on Tuesday (I'll email him with my decision so far) and see if I can get a blood test on Tuesday (I missed my regular blood test last time for some reason). But.....I will also be cutting back to the previous regime.

We've both been free of any illness since before Covid and I think we've been really lucky. Now with 6 days to go I am also brewing a cold (maybe). Am throwing High Strength VitC, Garlic capsules and Eccinacia down me to combat this.

On Thursday last week we came to the end of the long 2 months of upheaval. Just waiting for our furniture to be returned tomorrow. Not surprisingly I've finally succumbed to all the stress.

Any tips on reducing my stress during our flight and aftermath would be greatly appreciated. I think I read here a while back about increase Pred for a while??

Have a good weekend and May Day.

What a beautiful picture. What an alarming set of symptoms, I would be inclined to stop Methotrexate altogether, until I had seen the doctor and perhaps sick day rules with Pred?

Update. It is just my stools which for me is less alarming.

I am very reluctant to make changes when we will be away for a month.

Will see my Dr on Tuesday and work from there.

Good luck! What a pity you can’t get informed advice.

I'm pleased to report that whatever was happening is no longer happening. Clear for 12 hours. Will talk to my Dr tomorrow but am not as concerned as I was.
