Ovestin and ivf?

Rainbowretrieval profile image

Ok, so I had an ectopic from ivf which resulted in removal of part of one of my ovaries. I have been prescribed with Ovestin (estrogen cream) as a result as I am very dry and itchy down below. I know I need to stop this before my next transfer but want to take it until the latest possible date before to try and achieve the best balance and try and tackle this discomfort. Is anyone else on Ovestin with ivf? Thanks

Hi Rainboeretrieval. Sorry to hear about the loss of part of the ovary. Because of the itchiness could you have thrush? Perhaps some canestan cream to help. Good luck. Diane

they’ve already swabbed and no thrush (I thought it was too and have had several treatments, (over the counter and prescription) to try and tackle the thrush but it’s not what it is unfortunately. The Ovestin is turning me into a monster too, I’m going to need to come off it I think!
