GnRH INJECTIONS
So my consultant thinks GnRH injections are the way forward for me.. to help diagnose endometriosis. So if my symptoms improve whilst on these injections that is a indicator ? Or if my symptoms worsen then than is an indicator of endometriosis?

Ongoing pain
Every time I have my period the pain is just unbearable. To make matters worse my uncomfortable bowel movements are releasing yellow runny stools. Running the loo every 5 minutes because the medication isn’t settling I might throw up this tramadol. Can’t go hospital because I’m constantly going the toilet

Diethylstilbestrol [DES]
Wikipedia [1]: "DES {was a} standard initial treatment for symptomatic advanced prostate cancer for over 40 years, until the
GnRH
agonist
leuprorelin {Lupron} was found to have efficacy similar to DES without estrogenic effects and was approved in 1985."

***Sensitive post*** (but a story to hopefully give hope to those with severe endo and low AMH going through IVF)
This is a bit of a long story and is my first post but wanted to share it as reading positive stories on here really helped to keep me going when we were first starting out on this journey. I was diagnosed with severe stage 4 endometriosis with a large chocolate cyst, a hydrosalpinx and a frozen pelvis

Nervous about lap on Thursday
Hi there, I’m a long time reader and first time poster, but I have my lap on Thursday and I’m so frightened I hoped to get some opinions from you lovely ladies. I was disanosed with endo at the age of 18 after having my appendix out and finding it was actually a strangulated bowel and endo on my pouch

Trelstar?
Prior to seeing it mentioned on this board I'd never heard of Trelstar. I've used Firmagon and Eligard and have certainly heard of Lupron...but my Uro never once mentioned Trelstar. I see now that Trelstar is an LHRH agonist drug like Lupron and I know that Firmagon is a gonadotrophin-releasing hormone

Why does nobody listen?
I had my first lap last year after seeing 4 different consultants. They found endo in a lot of places but didn’t remove any... I was put on gnrh analogue decapeptyl injections and referred to an endo specialist at another hospital. I have a mass in my abdominal wall that they believe is an endometrioma

GnRH and Hrt treatment
I was diagnosed with endometriosis back in May when I have a large chocolate cyst removed. Im still in horrendous pain and have been on Triptorolin injections (GnRH) for 5.5 months. The pain seemed to be getting slightly better - well manageable until 3 weeks ago when I started on HRT (Sandrena 0.5mg

Really useful info from endo specialist *worth reading *
They teach patients that
GNRH
agonist
therapy after incomplete endometriosis surgery will "get rid of" or "kill off" any remaining disease. This is simply NOT TRUE! Gynecologists also often quote hysterectomy with removal of the ovaries to be "definitive treatment for endometriosis.

Anyone suffering problems years after taking Zoladex or another GnrH Analog?
I was on Zoladex for two years (2007-2009). I have suffered severe health problems ever since - I was first diagnosed with ME while on Zoladex, now they are saying fibromyalgia but many of my symptoms don’t fit that. I’ve been trying to figure it out for a long time with no help at all from doctors

Advanced, non-metastatic PCa & Monotherapies.
New Swedish study. "In randomised controlled trials, men with advanced, non-metastatic prostate cancer (PCa) treated with anti-androgen monotherapy (AA) had similar all-cause mortality as men treated with gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists. Using real-world evidence (i.e., observational data

My letter to head of endo centre asking/demanding for care
I've been having a bit of a time of it trying to get appropriate diagnosis and treatment. I really feel I've been messed around and I've long felt I have not been given appropriate/correct information regarding my condition. My confidence in the Drs I've seen has gradually be worn away and after reading
