Taking GNRH injections or the Contraceptive pill. Which is better?
I have just this week been diagnosed with Endometriosis. My symptoms appeared when I came off the Pill at the beginning of 2013 (as I thought they were the cause!). After seeing a consultant for my bowels, which they thought the cause of the pain was, I finally now have been diagnosed with Endo. He

GNRH drugs.
Hello.... I think the GNRH drugs maybe the next step that will be suggested to me. Are all GNRH drugs the same? Is there one that is more effective on Endo them another and is their one that has fewer side effects? If you are prescribed HRT also, does this stop the side effects of the GNRH medication

Hormone treatment
Hello ladies. I am seeing my specialist on the 16th. I have had an MRI and I am going to get the results at my appointment. Can any of you recommend a hormonal treatment that has given you some relief? I can not take the combined pill and I wouldn't touch the mirena again with a 10 foot poll! I

Had a lap done on 20 Oct, pain much worse and more constant than before op. At pre-op consultation I expressed that I was happy to have hysterectomy but consult thought it wasn't necessary. Though today they thought me a good candidate??????. As I was a referral from NHS initiative scheme, I will not

Hi girls, I'm looking for some reassurance/advice since getting laparoscopy report. X
I had my first diagnostic lap and mirena insertion on the 15th of October, almost 2 weeks ago. After the lap, the surgeon I saw didn't say much, that they had found some endo around the pouch of douglas but they didn't do anything with it as there was too much. I had a lot of adhesions some of which

For those who have used visanne, how long does it take for it to be effective in relieving pain?
I have used
GnRH
agonist
injections and did get relief but afterwards pain came back. I was on another progestin preparation, orgametril, 5mg twice daily.

HELP!!! :'(
I had a call from my gynae today and she has arranged for an MRI next month and also some physio as my Pelvic floor muscles are apparently not resting and that's causing more pain. She also said to stop taking the Cerazette and carry on with the implant till I see her again and carry on taking Gabapentin

What to do with follow up appointment?
As I mentioned in my previous post I had my first lap last Friday. No endo was found at the time. Today I had a talk with my general doctor about the lack of results. According to the information he received from the gyn. indeed nothing was found and no explanation can be given for my pains. At least

I am in the GNRH gang!!
I have now been put on GNRH with add back, not sure which one as forgot to ask, doh, so just looking for as much of your experiences as possible. It's mainly to see if it will stop my constant, chronic, debilitating lower back pain in order to confirm whether or not it is Endo related. Would love

If I thought I was confused in January...
Hi ladies, My first blog here where I got some great advice was in the lead up to the appointment I just had, and working out whether what I had sounded like endo and was worth investigating - or whether to move to another consultant, or what to do. Starting last Feb, I had a cyst which ruptured

Which treatment should I take after Cerazzette, Micronor doesn't help my pain?
Hello, I have my tummy pain (between 10 days before my period until period pain starts) nearly 10 years except while I was pregnant and one year after I had my son. I take max dose of Buscopan and loxoprofen (similar to Naproxen) for my pain but still struggling to live. I had a laparoscopy in November

Severe joint pain - hips and knees - and loss of strength
I have mild endo but severe pain, and ME. I've had five surgeries and every kind of hormonal treatment, including two straight years on zoladex without HRT (2007-2009) - this was an error and has left me with no libido and ongoing hormonal issues, but none of my doctors seem too concerned about this.
