New to this.. Zoladex advice?
Hi everyone, Just a bit of background info first, I'm 21 and have suffered with gynae problems since being 15. First with the diagnosis of pelvic congestion syndrome at 17 (after my first lap), to finally being diagnosed with endometriosis at 20 (after my second lap). I have tried every contraceptive

What to ask...
So my gynea appointment is almost finally here... I see him again on Friday (he originally diagnosed me). When I saw him after my first lap he said he found a small old spot that fell away. I never look into it anymore until the pain started. I'm in more pain than ever at the moment, signed off

Had op today-queries..GnRH,Kissing ovaries,obliterated POD??
Am back from op and all went ok despite my nerves! Pain free and not too bloated. Have a bit of shoulder discomfort but mainly just very very tired! Diagnosed severe endo with removal of large cyst and a smaller one drained and lasered. Ovaries were kissing (does this affect fertility) and obliterated

What's the difference between prostap and depapeptyl?
I am on the gnrh monthly injections and was told before I started them that I would be having prostap. Just had 3rd injection and found out I'm actually on decapeptyl. Are they similar does anyone know of any differences apart from the cost

GnRH analogues - please help, I'm only 24!
The combined pill and progesterone only pill haven't seemed to work and the consultant has recommended GnRH analogue injections - basically a 3 month menopause. I am very worried and scared of the physical effects this will have on my body, especially at such a young age. Please can anyone offer any

Hi ladies. I have developed a rash all over my boobs and it's now going down my arms. It's not itchy or hurt and I feel otherwise well. Could this be a side effect of the decapeptyl or am I just blaming everything on that blooming injection? Barbara. X

ME AGAIN!
Hi ladies.... I hope you are well I went to see my local consultant today. I've known him for 14 years and he is wonderful! He listens and puts his patients views first! He is so different to the team that I have also been seeing at a provisional Endo centre. He reviewed my MRI and scan reports

Went for GnRH Injections and came out very confused!
Hello Ladies, I hope you are all ok and have had a pain free day! So here's the story...Well I walked in and they asked me a few questions and I agreed to the injection. Then the nurse asked when my last period was as you have to have the injection just after. This is when it hit me. I haven't had one

Endo specialist - BSGE Provisional Endometriosis Centre and Accredited Centre
Is it only the number of the cases make the difference between an Accredited Centre and a Provisional Centre? Or is better doctor in an accredited centre...as they would have more experiences? I live in Leicester and I was looking for a specialist and the nearest Provisional Centre was in Stoke on

GnRH induced menopause injections & HRT booked for Tuesday. Still not sure??!!!
Hi ladies, I ended up in hospital the other month because of the endo & PCOS. I was in hurrendous pain. I had many scans, blood tests etc... As I have stage 4 they basically said it's very bad and cannot be left just taking painkillers as treatment. In pain everyday, collapsing on the loo, bowel, bladder

Feeling confused and totally fed up !
Hello lovely ladies. I was doing so well after my GNRH shot. Apart from the sciatica and constipation last weekend, I was beginning to think I was going to be lucky with side effects. I started to bleed (period not due until next weekend) and have severe pain last night (awake for the majority of

Lack of side effects ?
Hello ladies. I had my first injection of decapepyl last Tuesday. The only side effect that I've experienced is a slight headache. Is it too soon to think that I won't suffer too badly with side effects from the injection? I was given the monthly injection and also been prescribed HRT which I haven't

GNRH flare and HRT
Had my first GNRH injection yesterday. I have two questions to ask you wonderful ladies: 1) when does the "flare" and side effects start ? 2) should I take the HRT that has been prescribed? Thank you beautiful Endo sisters. Barbara x

Decapeptyl not Zoledex
Hello lovely ladies. I went to my doctors surgery expecting to have my first zoledex injection but I was told that the surgery prefers to use Decapeptyl GNRH instead. And that it was a "kinder" injection than zoledex. So I had the monthly injection. Any ladies had this medication and is it very different

Oh dear!
Hello ladies..... My story seems to have come from a soap opera! After a weekend of excruciating pain, disturbed nights and tears, I called my GP, today. Although neither my GP or I are keen on me having GNRH, together we decided that I should try this for a month. So I am having a Zoldex injection

Can anyone share their experience of having a hysterectomy ? Did it take away the pain and was it a full hysterectomy? Thanks :-)
My endo is just small patches (suffered in pain since my early teens, now 32 years old and only diagnosed last year) but the pain I am in daily is extremely severe. I was on GnRH for 6 months and I was like a new person! Consultant took me off it to see if my merina coil would kick in and help the

Any suggestions on next step.
Hello ladies. I have an appointment to see my specialist tomorrow. Just wondered if any of you are in the same position as me and what would you recommend. I have had Endo since 1991. I have three children. In the past I have had six laparoscopies (last one in 2004) and a laparotomy. I have tried
