I’ve had more pain and that awful heaviness on and off all day, off to bed with an achy chest, I’ve used my GTN spray and hope it gets me through the night 😊

GTN spray and stress !!!
I don’t know what it’s about having this micro vascular angina vasospastic angina , can anyone tell me if I have it right that they can come in clusters? Mine certainly do. Probably not a good idea for ‘me’ to take our spaniel to the vets, as I needed to use the spray several times, twice each time,

Hi I am waiting on a ct angiogram. I went to my GP due to the tightness I have been having in my chest. It’s almost like it’s hard to breathe and the pain travels round to my back. It sometimes feels like indigestion. I have had cancer treatment 12 years ago and I wonder if it’s affected my heart, I

Chest pain
I hope you don’t think this is a really silly question but for my chest pain I use the GTN spray on top of all the meds, here comes the silly bit..... I know you need to go to hospital after a few sprays of GTN but I thought I saw a post on here that a hot water bottle can help with the pain, so would

Coronary Angiogram First Post on BHF
Hi Everyone I'm new to the British Heart Foundation forum. I have a multitude of medical issues including PAF ,Gerd , Silent reflux and IBS. Recently the Gerd and IBS have flared up causing epigastric pain and heartburn. Had a CT Scan Thorax to pelvis (with contrast) which thankfully was all clear.

Having a panic 😢
I’ve been absolutely fine, diagnosed a few weeks ago with angina ( vasospastic and microvascular) I’ve a couple of other life changing medical conditions, for some reason I’m getting really upset. Suddenly panicking about angina, how it feels and what it’s doing to me when it happens, what if the GTN

Mini GTN spray
I have started running again 4 months after my triple bypass. Although my GTN spray is fairly small has anyone come across a really small emergency spray. It only needs a few sprays in it as it is just for emergencies. Thanks in advance

Hypoallergenic Thyroxine medication required.
I have been treated for hypothyroidism for 28 years, mostly successfully on 125mg per day. However, I have suffered with abdominal pain for much of this time. Over a year ago a routine blood test revealed a suppressed TSH and my GP insisted on reducing my Thyroxine. When I protested I was referred to

Glycerine suppository
After a severe bout of diarrhoea I was unable to go the toilet for the following 6 days. For the first timeI used a glycerine suppository which had almost immediate affect. As my IBS seems to be caused by anxiety about needing to use a toilet outside my home I wonder whether it would be a good idea

Covid19 saved my life
It was on my daughters 12th birthday, after rushing to be there for her special day, that my heart stopped beating - literally. Twice. Paramedics got a bad report from an airline crew so they gave me GTN and strapped an AED to my chest. It took a few minutes before they got the alarm and then an aural

Out with the old, in with the new.
Loved today's run. Went out with no idea how far I'd go. I was a bit daunted by running in the sun and warmer weather but it's been ok so far. I still much prefer the cold and rain to run in. Today I ran the Humber Seawall up and back and felt better with my knees so stopped at 5m. Got home to find my
