Post heart attack mental health
Morning, feeling very deflated today. Yesterday was the one month mark of my HA. I’ve been feeling stronger so booked in to get my hair done. I’d only been in the chair half an hour ans the sweat just started pouring off me and I just felt so queasy. Next thing there’s a first aider next to me ringing

Skin prick testing
Hi! I have had reactions to miralax and also medications that contain polysorbate 80 so I went in to be tested today. The 3 different strengths of miralax or polyethylene glycol were tested. The first was negative. The second two stronger ones I did develop a bump but very small, with the highest strength

Should I use GTN spray?
Occasionally I have ‘Pain’ (more like cramp) in left forearm but not in chest. I have recently diagnosed unstable Angina and 1 stent fitted and waiting for #2. Should I use GTN SPRAY?

Help! 🥲
Advice needed please. I’m 55, had hypertension (controlled) for 3 years. Never had issues with heart, chest pain or breathlessness until I had the Oxford AZ on March 12th. Started with chest pain on March 15th. Inpatient on 30th March for 3 nights. No PE, no HA! Had numerous ‘abnormal’ ECG’s But had

GTN Patches
Hi All, I joined this community not too long ago and I’ve been looking at some of the posts that come up. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with using GTN Patches? I’ve had a consult with my Dr today who has recommended them and I’ve just been reading a few articles I could find - however

PEG allergy, new to this and struggling with an allergist who doesn't know what PEG is?
Hi, I'm new to this after having a reaction to PEG in a shot. The allergist (it took me ages to find one in my area) assured me when I called that they could test and consult for PEG allergies, but opened the actual appointment by saying I was their first ever patient with this allergy-- and then went

I've joined the bypass queue....
Six months ago I thought I was a relatively fit person, going up Cadair Idris. The my breathing problems started and got rapidly worse. Now I'm on a cocktail of medicines, keeping the GTN spray always in the pocket and waiting for my turn in the bypass queue. Allegedly, it is six months long, I am not

Unsure if should use GTN spray
Hi, I'm new here. I had a heart attack in march 2017 and had two stents put in. It was the start of pre menopause for me and I was 44 at the time. I've been generally ok since then, but have struggled with regular exercise and have put on weight. Proper menopause kicked in at the beginning of this year

Recurring intermittent chest pains after NSTEMI heart attack
Hi. I am looking for some advice. I had an NSTEMI in December last year followed by 2 stents in my right coronary artery and a third blockage in the left was treated with an angioplasty. I am now on a selection of drugs including antiplatlet, blood pressure, statins, beta blockers, and angina drugs.

Heart attack (Stemi) and unable to stent because of ectatic Coronary artery
Last August I had a STEMI. A heart attack which resulted in the complete blockage of the Right coronary artery. When they looked via the angiogram/angioplasty they found that the artery was ectatic. That means apparently that it is not uniform in cross section , and not smooth in end to end shape. They

My Dad had a heart attack
Hello, last Tuesday (4/4/21) my Dad (74) suffered a heart attack, before arriving at the hospital he had to have his heart restarted twice. He was fitted with 5 stents and placed on various medications and was told that his heart was badly diseased but he was not told that he had heart failure. Thankfully

Need some practical advice
On March 9th I went into hospital with chest pains. On the 13th I was discharged with a diagnosis of unstable angina, with some new pills called Nicorandil and a summary discharge letter. I have had an echocardiogram and a heart CT. Since I was discharged I’ve heard nothing - no outpatient appointment

New to heart problems
Hello all, I have been a “watcher” for a while and thought that it was time to say hello and post my story. After a routine phone conversation with my Dr over a completely different matter, { testosterone levels } she noticed that I was out of breath. I explained that I had just done something and was

Allergy to polyethylene glycol what does that mean for other glycols
Hi I had anaphylaxis last week to an arthritis medication and I have been diagnosed as having a polyethylene glycol allergy. What I don't know is does this mean I am also allergic to other glycols like propylene glycol?
