Mini GTN spray

I have started running again 4 months after my triple bypass. Although my GTN spray is fairly small has anyone come across a really small emergency spray. It only needs a few sprays in it as it is just for emergencies.

Thanks in advance

I agree, a small 2-3 dose (two pumps per dose) package would be great - that red bottle is a bit on the bulky side to go in a trouser or joggers pocket. I've been on the spray for over a year, rarely need it and am grateful to have it when I do need it - but a smaller bottle would be just the thing to slip in pocket or handbag when I'm out and about.

I often took a prophylactic spritz before lockdown ended my longer distance twice daily exercise walk so I didn't have to try carrying the bottle with me and that worked well for me - have you tried that before you head out for your run?

Perhaps asking the chemist (to get a name) then asking the medic to prescribe anything the chemist told you about might be a way to find a smaller bottle.

If you do find something please update so the rest of us can give it a go.

Why do you need a gtn spray if you have had a bypass

They gave me it just in case . Said better to have it and not need it than the other way round.

A quick tip on carrying the red Gt Spray. I bought a small Swiss Army knife in a pouch that clips on the belt, ideal pouch size for the spray or you could use the small pouch off a maglite torch. Small and neat. Regards

When I used GTN spray I was given the Actavis GTN spray. That looks smaller than the red bottle. I certainly used to be able to easily carry it around in my jeans pocket.

Mine is by Aspire Pharma - it's really light and not much bigger than a disposable cigarette lighter, in fact it effectively replaced my lighters! It lives in my pockets, and nearly 2 years after I got it, it's rather dented now, but should still have 197 puffs in it!
