MVA - Spasms and Exercise
Good Morning from Singapore (National Day) I wonder if I might ask those with Artery Spasms, MVA, etc etc about exercise. Whilst I am still waiting to be confirmed with Artery Spasms which is causing my breathlessness and pain, it has been presumed as my 2 arteries with stenosis reveal only 48 and

Diagnosed with coronary artery disease and unstable angina feel anxious
Hi all, I have cad and unstable angina, I was diagnosed 18 months ago. I'm on the usual meds statins, calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, aspirin and, my gtn spray which I can't do without... I feel I was diagnosed, which was a shock and then left to fend for myself, I feel alone in all this

Uh Oh, These new shoes don't know when to stop 🙈🏃♂️👟🏆
So my new shoes arrived today. Revel 3 Tropical Collection - They are things of beauty. Of course, looks aren't everything so I thought I best get them on and give them a try. But how long should their maiden voyage be? At first I thought a gentle 5k to ease them in slowly. But the weather was so nice

Lots of black & circular floaters + bloodshot eye after my last Avastin injection. Should I worry?
I have been having regular Avastin shots for 18 months, with no progression of the wet MD. I've had floaters before, but not this many so frequently. I've also had large black circular floaters (from the glycerin used in the packing, from what I've read) which eventually disappeared. Now my floaters

The list below is copied from a paper published last year [1]. As many might recall, untreated tumors outgrow their blood supply. Contrary to popular belief, cancer does not "hate" oxygen. Heart Spasm?
Hi all, On Sunday afternoon I had a sudden intense “spasm” , felt like someone had reached in and squeezed my heart. I’ve had similar feelings occasionally before but this time it left me with a tight, heavy “lump” in the middle of my chest which would not go away...on top of which I felt weak, ill and

Well... They arrived much sooner than I expected. Under Armour HOVR Infinite. They don't fill me with the WOW I was expecting, or what I got from my Brooks Glycerin 16s when I first tried them on. Think the toe box might be a little tight for me but I'll wear them round the house for a few days before

Much worse during heatwave
For a long time my IBS has mainly caused problems with constipation to the extent that I usually take Movicol daily and sometimes need a glycerin suppository as well. During this current heatwave I have switched right over to diarrhoea mode - lots of loose motions and cramps. I haven`t taken Movicol

Well... If you insist!
So I'm three weeks back into running, and Strava kindly sends me an email suggesting I buy a new pair of trainers. Bearing in mind my current Brooks Glycerin 16s were given to me by a friend who was going to throw them away, so were pretty much worn out anyway, so with an added 500k of my running (I

Just home from hospital !!
I’d had chest pain, down both arms across shoulders and my back, that just wouldn’t shift with the GTN spray. Ambulance, morphine and goodness knows what else later as that morphine is pretty good stuff, X-ray ECG monitored, then my blood pressure went down to 97/43 put on fluids, I think they understood

Short Angina. Advice please
I would be most appreciative of any comments or advice. I have been getting possible Angina pains when walking up even slight inclines but they usually last only around 20 seconds. If I stop, pains stops. I have only used my GTN 3 times in 3 months but am still so very anxious prior to walking up even

Exercise Modulation of Tumour Perfusion and Hypoxia to Improve Radiotherapy Response
New paper below [1]. ".. recent studies reveal that exercise may also directly influence tumour physiology that could beneficially affect the response to radiotherapy." "Preclinical research has shown that exercise can reduce intratumoral hypoxia-a major limiting factor in radiotherapy-by improving tumour
