t3 only or combination t3/t4
I’ve been working with a private gp to see if t3/t4 will work better as I appear to be a poor converter I have had some improvement in fatigue and mood symptoms but the severe muscle tension has come back, The doctor is German and she says it is common to test rt3 and if it is high to consider t3

Levothyroxine natural alternative?
My doctors have prescribed Levothyroxine and Synthroid for me in the past. However, both meds drastically increased my blood pressure to dangerously high levels, landing me in the hospital emergency room twice. (This, even though I routinely take Ziac blood pressure pills, which have kept my bp steady

thyroid trouble please help!
first time poster here, 37yo M. I have been feeling exhausted for a long time now and been struggling with constipation. We can’t find a reason for this but my GP did some bloods that showed a normal T4/T3 but a TSH of 3.7 which is the upper limit of the normal range. I have been begging to trial thyroid

Got in a mess over reduction of T4
If possible could greygoose TiggerMeor anyone else offer some much needed advice. A few weeks ago I reduced t4 to 75/100 over one week (high t4) I felt very under medicated so then increased again. I then changed to a lactose free make to see if accord was causing the acid reflux. Recently

Almost 40years of complexity and no end in sight?
In Feb 1987, I returned to the UK after a 3 year posting in Cyprus and we were accommodated in married quarters on a nearby former USAF base. About 6 months later, and without any warning my symptoms of tiredness and general malaise started. I was prescribed an iron tonic, which eventually I was drinking

Still fighting for a diagnosis B12, PA
Due to my ongoing failing health I've had to do my own research as to the pathway of blood test results, symptoms and the progression/knock on effects of having doctors who refuse to help. I have had to be extremely proactive in my own diagnosis, following the path of autoimmune conditions (co-morbid

Not feeling the Heat like I usually do!!!
Hi all For years, I've really felt the heat during the summer months but, this summer, I'm actually feeling quite comfortable, which is great and I'm certainly not complaining. I have change my thyroid meds, at the end of last year, so several months ago. I was on Levothyroxine 150mcg daily but GP

GP removed my T3 what now?
Hi I know others have mentioned this previously but I have just gone to order a repeat prescription to find that my T3 is missing from the list. I'm currently taking 75mcg Thyroxine too & noticed they have removed the 50's leaving me with 25mcg only which is ok I guess but expect its a cheaper brand

Misdiagnosis? Fibromyalgia or PA?
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 19 years ago, but I wonder whether it was a misdiagnosis. I am still waiting for a PA diagnosis, but have been experiencing many of the symptoms of PA for months. Many of the tests I have done have shown low B12, low folate, low ferritin, all within range but low

Problem absorbing T4/T3
Just wondering if anyone knows how you can tell if you are not absorbing thyroxine and liothyronine due to gut/stomach problems. Will your TSH and T4/T3 blood levels show you have enough hormone - i.e. will it still get into your blood but not other parts of your system. I currently have a diverticulosis

medichecks results different from GP
I did a home test back in. March in order to get some information other than the GP test who wanted to reduce my Levo and put me on Statins. I take 100mcg daily and feel well on this dosage, when I was on 75mcg, I felt lethargic and not myself. The new results are CRP HS. 1.510 mg/L. (Range < 3

High FSH
Hi everyone I was devastated yesterday when I found out through my blood test that my FSH levels are too high (19.8) to do my ivf round. I had a medicated cycle previously that only resulted in one egg (unfortunately this egg turned into a blastocyst but didn’t stay when implanted) this 2nd round was

Hi all, I've just had latest results back from medichecks, I like to get these before I go and see my GP for nhs testing! After my last set of results in March when I was feeling so awful I increased my levothyroxine from 50mg to 75mg - my symptoms have improved a little but I still feel that I am

Hello everyone! I wanted to just give a quick post on a scam I experienced here on a chat. It was back in December. I did not approach anyone they sent me a message through the chat.
