Husband still in hospital
Husband still in hospital and its now 14 days. His pneumonia really taken it toll on him, he had thrush in his mouth. Starting to improve slowly. Just wondering how poorly would he had been if he didn't have his pneumonia injection last year. I feel so far away from him, when he's down I can't buck him

Live Vaccines
I read somewhere that while suffering with PMR and on prednisone one should avoid live vaccines. I’m due for a pneumonia shot so wondering if it qualifies as a live vaccine.

Arthritis in hands side effect
Do any of you have any experience with arthritis in your hands as side effect of bicultamide or eligard, which I've been on for 5 months and began experiencing pain in fingers and palm of hand. Can't make a fist anymore. Any advice on how to lessen the condition? Thanks so much for any insight!

cold weather
Good afternoon, I don't know about anywhere else, but it feels very dull and wintery here in Liverpool - and although the autumn leaves are beautiful, it's starting to feel colder. So, with that in mind, you may find our cold weather information helpful - www.blf.org.uk/support-for-you/cold-weather

SOB and cough
Hi, I’m new here and just want some advise. My wife has had SOB and cough. She has been to hospital and they have done CT scan and X-ray. CT scan showed inflammation in the lungs and the X-ray was clear. She has taken 7 day antibiotics and steroids but she is still not better. All her bloods were normal

Confused asthmatic
Hi, hope someone can offer some advice please. I am a life long asthmatic, quite severe, it has put me in hospital several times over the years. Anyway, it is, or was, well controlled with Seretide100 and Ventolin as a rescue med. In March I had C29, spent eight days in hospital on oxygen and developed

Better sleep: 30 wakers & stoppers
I was asked for my list of "20" things that wake me up at night. Or 30... ;-). I had to analyze them to be able to try to start working again... so here goes (this is a public post, so best start a new thread if you want to say something private): Like many, I have to sleep more (+1h = 9h) than before

Behçet’s vs Pyoderma Ulcers
Hi, some time ago I read an article about the difference between ulcers relating Behçet’s and pyoderma gangrenosum ulcers. No flu jab for me!
Went this morning to my pharmacy to get vaccinated against flu. I've never had a flu jab before and all my allergies were checked, taking up most of the space on the form but was stymied when it came to latex allergy. Pharmacist said he couldn't take the risk, - although NHS says it's negligible -

Should I have the flu jab ?
I have been on Pred since December 2019 and currently down to 2mg (dropped to 1.5mg but pain returned) Having gone back up to 2mg I’m experiencing neck shoulder pains/fatigue .... Waiting for advice on my dose as I think i need to increase dose but in the meantime I’m anxious about having flu jab ..

Covid test a child for every cough?!
Hi everyone, quick question if I may. My daughter (12) , like so many others, suffers with her asthma throughout the year but especially in the autumn & winter. Her first symptom is usually a cough, sometimes dry, someone's wet. She currently has a cold (classic runny nose) and a cough. My question is

Flu vaccination
I have been vaccinated against flue several times and always responded to it with flu or cold like symptoms. My husband, who has no Asthma felt very unwell for about 14 days after his vaccination. I now have not been vaccinated for a few years. I have read everything on this site about Asthma and vaccination
