HI I had the Whipple operation 4 years ago which was successful, however I still suffer from digestive issues such as loose motions which seem to lead to a rash . Also stomach cramps especially at night.Lots of Uti’s. Does anyone else suffer the same problems and how are they dealing with them.

clinical trial for gene therapy
my doctor ask me if I would be interested in going into phase 3 clinical trials for macular degeneration gene therapy. Has anyone on this forum been in a clinical trial or what is your opinion?

Review of Genetic and Gene Therapy for Parkinson’s Disease
vFollowing Alzheimer's, PD has the highest number of neuronal degeneration among all neurodegenerative disorders. Deficiency of dopamine in the basal ganglia precedents motor symptoms, viz, later postural unsteadiness, rigidity, tremor, and bradykinesia. PD in most cases is instigated by an amalgamation

NURR1: Facilitating the transition of neural stem cells into functional dopaminergic neurons.
//////What is NURR1? Nuclear receptor related 1 protein (Nurr1) is an important transcription factor required for differentiation and maintenance of midbrain dopaminergic (DA) neurons. Since decrease in Nurr1 function either due to diminished expression or rare mutation is associated with Parkinson's

Getting ready to try a neurogenesis protocol.
I think I've got the neuroprotection and neurorehab down pretty well. Next up, neurogenesis... Until recently, neuroscientists believed that the central nervous system, including the brain, was incapable of neurogenesis and unable to regenerate. However, stem cells were discovered in parts of the adult

Upstaza became the first approved therapy to treat a rare genetic condition. It would seem that this should be encouraging for Parkinson's
"In July this year, Upstaza became the first approved disease-modifying treatment for AADC deficiency and the first marketed gene therapy directly infused into the brain when it was authorized by the European Medicines Agency." In Parkinson's cases where there is a genetic problem, this is encouraging

Million-Dollar Drug:
The FDA approved a gene therapy from Bluebird Bio that represents a potential cure for a rare blood disorder—at a price of $2.8 million per patient. Will anyone be able to afford the cure if it comes down the pipe from this source?
