Had
gastroscopy
yesterday and diagnosed with hiatus hernia , Barrett's oesophagus. Years of anti acids and now I know why! Waiting for biopsy results . Just wanted to ask if anyone else relates to having stomach ache, nausea etc 24 hours after procedure ? Now waiting for colonoscopy , can't wait !

Car fumes - potentially cause of Lung Cancer
Together with my history the GP was concerned and he put me forward for
gastroscopy
& bronchopathy Tests. My lifestyle has always been fitness oriented. I’ve been swimming since I was a little boy, played football, cycled bike.

Please offer advise as to who should check CT scan
I have a climbing CA125 and a GP reluctant to arrange a CT scan to rule out OC and instead he wants to arrange a
gastroscopy
which in his words "could take ages" as such, I have decided to arrange a private CT scan with a referral from my GP.

Hiatus Hernia
I've just come back from seeing a consultant about a hiatus hernia that they found by
gastroscopy
. To cut a long story short, I can't take acid blocking medication because of too many side effects, I can't take H2 antagonists so he says I have to learn to manage it with diet.

Ugh
I'd like to know if anybody has had a
gastroscopy
done under general anaesthetic. I've attempted to have it done twice under sedation and with just the throat spray but there is no way it's going to happen.

Gastroscopy
I do have a letter in which it states that due my extreme level of anxiety, & safety of myself & staff it would be better to perform another
Gastroscopy
under GENERAL anaesthetic otherwise I will not be able to undergo it again.

Hi please can anyone help
Have had a
Gastroscopy
and don't have acid reflux the
Gastroscopy
did show that I have Oesophageal candidiases. Wondering if this could be the reason for the nausea. Has anyone else experienced this problem.

Gastroscopy Advice
Hey guys/girls I'm having a
Gastroscopy
tomorrow at 11.30 @ QEBH I'm so so anxious, I emailed my specialist requesting to be put under general Anaesthetic but due to the time frame it was denied. So I was going to chicken out, but decided to go ahead despite my extreme anxiety.

Help? What help?
Since a diagnosis of cirrhosis a couple of months ago, I've had an ultrasound scan, a CT scan and a
gastroscopy
. I've had no advice re current medications (even though a couple of my long term meds indicate possible incompatibility with my liver) and no dietary advice.

Malnutrition
It's just much worse than it was, the
gastroscopy
is vital to reveal what is going on, & thankfully !! The general anaesthetic will give me an induced well deserved sleep.

Hello again.
Update after having
Gastroscopy
yesterday. No evidence of cancer biopsies taken to rule out H.plyori, no sign of reflux, but it did show up Oesophageal candidiases I have been prescribed Fluconazole for1 week. Does anyone have experience of this condition, and how quickly it will clear.

Cirrhosis question
He told me I had cirrhosis, I should have been called in previously and needed further blood tests Hep C & B, some kind of liver data test and a
Gastroscopy
. The latter is booked for 7 August.
