Update after having Gastroscopy yesterday. No evidence of cancer biopsies taken to rule out H.plyori, no sign of reflux, but it did show up Oesophageal candidiases I have been prescribed Fluconazole for1 week. Does anyone have experience of this condition, and how quickly it will clear.

Hello im new to this site and found your post, that is something i never knew about, it would be interesting to know what your symptons are. I have taken difflucon for a different reason and usually it will kick in within 2 days but i believe it stays in the system for a good 10 days after. Just watch for the side effects a bit of cramping and slightly nauseous.

Hello I thought the symptoms I had were related to acid reflux but the Gastroscopy proved otherwise. It seems I had been taking PPIs for about 10 months unnecessarily. Hope they haven't done any long term damage, as I was having side effects from them as well. My symptoms were nausea indigestion and a sore feeling in my oesophagus. I have lost weight as the nausea makes me not want to eat. It seems to be a vicious circle at the moment.

I can symptasise with you i have lost alot weight through night time reflux and changing my diet. I have had endoscopy and tierd of going to the docs. They carnt find anything wrong with me, everyone i know tells me i look ill and have lost to much weight. I have a burning throat and acid in my mouth every night - tried all the PPIs omeprazole . lansprazole and ranatdine.

I am tierd all the time especially when i have to go to work monday - friday. I use to look realy healthy till this hit me about 4-5 years ago. I dont have a big tea like i use to . Hope you find a solution soon . I know I am worse when i have fatty greasy foods. I also get belching , wind and bloating after eating

I got fed up with seeing the same Dr. He was on holiday so I saw someone else who was really helpful it was through her that I got the Gastroscopy which confirmed I had Osephaegal candidasies I was getting much the same symptoms as you and wasn't eating very much at all. Consequently losing weight quickly . Hopefully now I can put weight back on. Don't give up on the Drs ask for a second opinion,as it miserable feeling so unwell.
