Peakflow - improvement? Response to Spiromax
Hope you're all having good day :-) You've all been so helpful as I've been going through the am I/aren't I asthmatic phase... So, over the last month I've had an inconclusive spirometry test (GP says it's because I was well on the day), and clear chest x-rays. Went back to the GP last week fully expecting

Constant pressure to change medication
Well, have just endured another annual review, with a nurse (not an asthma nurse), pressing for me to change to another treatment, ie combined inhaler. Then took my blood pressure which was sky high (well, it would be , wouldn't it ?) One, I was given an appointment with a nurse I didn't want to see

Sleep and minor asthma problem's
I had an asthma attack in my dream but it didn't not affect me when I was a sleep. Soon as I woke up, my chest felt like I had been trapped in a tiny room and not able to breath some times I have sore ribs. I have done my peak flow 430 normal for me. I am on fostair 100/6 and it's not fully controlling

Newly diagnosed
Good morning everyone. I was diagnosed with asthma last winter when I had a really bad cold/cough i couldn't shift. I was wheezing also. I couldn't believe if was asthma and just assumed it was a chest infection . .y doctor did my peak flow and it was 250 which surely it could be this with a chest

Hello, I’m 17 years old and recently I’ve been struggling with my asthma. Within the space of 3 weeks I have had 2 asthma attacks, one resulting in a ambulance and the other a trip to a&e. Could I have Lung Cancer?
Hey Guys, Newbie here. Feeling alarmed at the moment as I have had a chest x-ray showing shadow on the apex of the right lung, in position this corresponds to pain I have in upper chest and upper back. Been asthmatic for over 10 years, medication increasingly ineffective in recent years and put on

Not an asthma victim !
Loved the idea of colour coding my peak flow monitor, easy to read: so got inspired - as I was rewriting my asthma plan for folder and hated the pic, and thought, I wanted positivity when I need to refer to it, so I cut out some favourite pictures (I sail & love the sea), and glued them on. Now I feel

Quick question re: personal best PFM reading
Good morning! Just a quick (& hopefully easy!) question..... when you say your “personal best” in terms of peak flow readings, does that include after reliever pump? For example (& I am only new to asthma) my peak flow readings range from 280 to 350 over the last 4 weeks, but after ventolin I’ve read

Seretide Sereflo differences?????
Hi All, I'm 65 and was on Seretide for a long time, this was changed to Sereflo a few months ago. I seem to have a constant tickle/irritation since being on the Sereflo. I have always been able to get a good peak flow score and still do which does not help me being taken seriously, my asthma nurse tells

Feeling frustrated
I just received a condescending letter from my consultant. I had a blood allergy test come back as normal. Already had one so was expecting this. But i know i have allergies, the sneezing, coughing and watery eyes tells me so! I also had lung function tests. Which came back as normal. This confuses me

Newly diagnosed, 42 year old confused!
Hi! First post so please be gentle! I am a 42 yr old female (5'2"), and was diagnosed with asthma last month after a bout of a nasty cold which wouldn't shift from my chest. I run a lot (30 miles a week plus) and seem to be particularly bad for a few days following a long run (in fact my diagnosis came
