Feeling confused, frustrated and worried.
She said that she had been communicating with Addenbrookes and I was to be given
Fenofibrate
as Ocaliva can increase the itch. I was relieved to hear.

Husband has pbc.....bilirubin rise
Was told to stop
fenofibrate
which had been recently added. We are now waiting 2wks to recheck if that could have been cause. Eyes are a bit yellow. Needless to say I'm so worried. Was told if no improvement then we are to meet transplant team at University of Minnesota.

Short Lived responder to Urso
She had had a chat with George Mells at Addenbrookes and he will be trying me on
Fenofibrate
, she said Ocaliva would be unwise because of my itch and even though it is not always the case that is the plan.

Fenofibrate?
He has twice put me on
fenofibrate
( I came off the 1st time shortly after starting with my gp's approval) because my lft readings remain high. This would suggest urso not working. It says on the leaflet in the tablet box that you shouldn't take
fenofibrate
if you have liver disease.

My consultant has just put me on 200mg of
Fenofibrate
daily which is making me feel so sick mid afternoon 😟 Just wondering if anyone out there shares the same thing as me and were the results worth the sickness. Is there any trick to stop the sickness?

Promising response to fenofibrate
Some of you may remember a couple of months ago I was asking if anyone had tried
fenofibrate
to treat PBC. Only a small number of people here had been prescribed it.

Should I take medication before thyroid blood test?
However I am worried that if I don't take my sodium valproate, venlafaxine, oestrogen HRT or
fenofibrate
beforehand then it will not show on the test if they affect my thyroid in any way, because I have read that they do. Can anybody advise me what I should do? Many thanks.

Results from recent fasting blood test.
I have been prescribed
fenofibrate
. Looking at other people's levels here on the forum I am worried that my immediate health may be at risk. What do you think? I am male, 44 bmi 24 and normal bp as otherwise good health.

Dispersible Aspirin 75mg tablets
My doctor has put me on these in additon to
Fenofibrate
. On the leaflet with the tablets it states "Refrain from alcohol when taking these tablets" By no means am I a drinker, but I do like a glass of wine with meals and maybe a couple of pints at the weekend. Does this mean I can no longer do this?

My visit to the lipid clinic
so he changed my medication form Bezalip mon which I have been on for years and relaced it with
Fenofibrate
and soluble aspirin (both once daily). My cholesterol figer has reduced fro 6.00 to 5.6 so that's a start. One thing I am trying to find out is this. Is Type 111 the same as FH?
