On one Fenofibrate and one 75g aspirin daily. Been referred to cardilogist, and for kidney scan and a 24 hour BP monitor. Your comments would be welcomed.
I have been seeing lately that a new view of cholesterol levels has been reduced to a maths test. Divide your "good" HDL level into your total cholesterol reading and if it is under 4 you are OK. Whether this is correct or not, I do not know, but I do know that "they" think that a reading of 1.5 for your Triglicerides is preferred. Your other figures seem very good to me.
Did you Dr say anything to you about change of diet, exercise, weight reduction or any of the other usual things they trot out when you have had a blood result? Perhaps your family history is a concern to them, or your figures have been creeping up? I would write down a few questions that concern you and let the cardiologist know and ask for answers. They obviously are making sure they touch all bases with the tests they are lining up for you so I would treat it as a welcome MOT and wait for the results. Let us know how you get on and all the best
Had my kidney and bladder ultrasound today, and was told that everything was clear but that does not tell them if the organs are working correctly, so the result will go back to my consultant whom I see in November. I can't think that things are that bad, otherwise they would want to see me earlier. On the positive side I have lost a stone since June, eating smaller portions, and cutting all saturated fat, and taking it easy on the other fats.
