I think all autoimmune Thyroiditis suffers should go gluten-free
As per the title, this is an opinion piece. Please see the disclaimer at the bottom that has been there since the start. I’m surprised the Thyroid UK site doesn’t say this already. I’m living proof of the dramatic impact, on anti-thyroid antibodies, that switching to a gluten-free diet can have. It

Rheumatoid Factor of 96 but Negative ANA test...what does that mean?
My name is Katherine and I am a 33 year old female. I have moving joint pain in pretty much every joint in my body (elbows, fingers, back, hips, knees, feet etc). My RF came back 96 but my ANA test came out negative. Can anyone explain what that means? Thanks so much!

PA without IF antibodies?
Hello PA Hive Mind! Newbie poster but have been researching my B12 def and also lurking here digesting all the amazing advice. I feel like I may have been misdiagnosed, and I now realise, probably undertreated and essentially left to languish for the last 4 years with worsening neuro symptoms and fatigue

Advice B vitamins
Hi everyone, I have just finished my 6 loading doses of B12 injections. I gather I should have taken Folic Acid once started with them but I didn't realise at the time. I have in the cupboard some Vitamin B tablets and I wonder of you could advise whether they are suitable to take. Each tablet contains

I now don’t know where to turn !!
In short, I’ve had low b12 for over two year, yesterday I had a meeting with my gp re them refusing to giving me b12 injections, I pointed out that by refusing they are not adhering to Nice guidelines. They are standing firm and saying that if my intrinsic factor test comes back negative ( which it

Complete relief from daily pelvic / bladder / lower back pain and fatigue just 2 months after changing diet and using castor oil packs
I was diagnosed with endo in 2011 and have suffered the usual painful symptoms as well as chocolate cysts, and rectal bleeding shortly before my period. Over the years I found that eating very healthily kept many of my symptoms at bay. However, at Christmas I got flu and was very tired for some weeks

Intrinsic factor levels
I received the results of my intrinsic factor levels back today... 2u-ml (0-24) Could someone please help me understand is my result is a normal level I’m not sure if 0 means the lower end meaning 2 is not very good or if it’s a good result because it’s not right up by 24 ??? Thank you in advance

Candesartan
Hi, does anybody have cramp type pain, hips, knees, tops of feet? I suspect it might be caused by Candesartan. I have been prescribed these as I discovered the hard way that I am intolerant to ACE Inhibitors.

Is this Pernicious Anaemia?
My god-daughter has B12, folate and iron deficiencies. She has tested positive for Hashmimoto's and for perietal cell antibodies, but not for Intrinsic Factor antibodies. She is considering joining the Pernicious Anaemia Society, and suffers severely from the majority of symptoms associated with Pernicious
