Flashing lights in vision (photopsia) or discomfort due to bright light or glare (photophobia) is often experienced by patients with Stargardt. However, little is understood about what causes these symptoms, their prevalence or the impact they can have on people’s lives. Omar Mahroo, consultant ophthalmologist

Macular Hole
Hi, long term PMR/GCA sufferer been on 4mg for long enough and staying there! However I developed a macular hole which needed surgery. Has anyone else had this problem, is there likely any association of cause with GCA /PMR or Pred? Surgery done now and I have to wait and see how successful it is.

I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

Dry mouth
Thank you all for the sugg for coping with dry mouth and throat. Lots to choose from. I will try the sugar free chewing gum and Boots throat spray. I also have dry eyes and use a gel prescribed from the GP. I will ask to be checked for diabeties. All your help is much appreciated.

Hi, everyone. How are you? I just came back from my clinic appointment and was told news I didn't really want to hear. It spread again to one of lymph nodes near right kidney. That made sense why I had a pain there. I was on single dose of celarsertib for a few years. Now it's discontinued. My consultant
