Hi, I'm new today and feeling bored today so need some company.
I've lost around 4 1/2 stone since late last May - initially for 2 social occasions, lost my way for some of the winter and am now using (successfully) hypnotherapy. I need to loose much more but my current objective is moving from obese to overweight by a family holiday in mid-June. I should be able

Please Join Me for a Monday Weigh-in (Easter Monday - 21st April 2014).
Good morning! Firstly, I'd like to wish everyone a Very Happy Easter! My aim this week was to not gain any weight, and last Monday I weighed 13 stone 8.6 pounds. This morning I weigh 13 stone 8.8 pounds, so I've gained 0.2 pounds. A very minimal gain, so I'm ok with that. I did indulge in a few

It's a beautiful day...
I was lucky enough to feel up to a walk this morning, with my sacroiliac belt pulled tight and bathed in voltarol gel. I thought I'd share a pic with for those of you who might be feeling poorly today, to see if the scenery can lift your spirits too. Gentle hugs xxxx

weight loss!
I am delighted - I am slowly losing weight and have trousers in several different sizes ready for when the weight falls off me (I wish). This morning found I could fit into three pairs of trousers that I couldn't get anywhere near me only two months ago - I must have lost around 3" off my waist! I

Just a quick note to say Hi to everyone here. The reasons for me joining this site are basically, I was 130kg in December 2012 and really needed to do something about it but found it difficult as most people do, I was then diagnosed with head and neck cancer and started Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy

How do I stay focussed when my parents stock up the kitchen with fatty foods?
Ok so I am 16, (17 in June) and am living with my parents while I study at sixth form. I have begun losing weight and am 5'7" and weigh 138lbs, though my goal is 120. Although I have been dieting for a while I find binge eating hard and end up eating really low calorie meals to make sure I don't eat

I don't know what to do or say to support my girlfriend after a slip up.
First things, I don't know if "slip up" was the correct term or possibly offensive term to use, so I apologise greatly if so. Ok, so my girlfriend finished her final stage of group rehab about two weeks ago. After the second week there she really put all she had into stopping bingeing and purging.

I am a failure.
I have a good life. I am mentally and physically healthy. I have the opportunity to study. I have some friends and live in good conditions. Yet I hate my life. I am not as successful as I want to be, which is hugely because of my laziness. I don't have a girlfriend and never had one. I am not a good

eating disorder and brittle asthma
Hi guys! I'm a brittle asthmatic and have been on continuous oral steroids for the last three years. Unsurprisingly, my weight has increased to the point where I am now overweight. I know that the weight gain is entirely due to the steroids - I haven't changed what I eat and in the brief periods when

Dealing with bulimia?
Hey guys, I'm 20 years old and I would say for the last 5 years I have gone through phases of bulimia. I'll be fine for a few months then when I'm really keen to lose weight and don't feel like it's working I find myself binging and purging for a week or so. I throw up until I'm literally in pain. I'm

Confused....I was diagnosed with Raynauds and hyperhidrosis in around 1980, whilst in South Africa . My surgeon performed a lumbar
Sympathectomy first, followed a year later by a cervical sympathectomy. The cervical one not being quite as successful, but not bad. Now I have restless leg syndrome, and latterly, really bad foot pain at night, these two keep me awake most nights. I also have a patch of extremely thick skin around one

Is it normal to have blue lips?
Hi all, I have mild raynauds and hypothyroidism. On most days my lips (especially the top lip) turn blue randomly throughout the day. It doesn't seem to matter whether I'm hot/cold or whatever... Several people point it out to me all the time. So are blue lips like this a normal symptom of raynauds?

Has anyone had help from a psychiatrist about their weight and does it help and what help do they offer?
My doctor thinks I have an eating disorder where I eat too much, so he's getting into contact with my psychiatrist about helping me to lose weight. I have doubts this will help. Has anyone received help from a psychiatrist and has it worked for them? I have also been using the change 4 life website and

My Best Friend
My best friend has told me that she forces herself to vomit after eating meals (not every meal) or sometimes even snacking, she said she may buy a snack knowing full well that once she eats it she will purge herself. It's only been happening for the last 2 months but she said it happened for a while

I am a 63yearold woman who always had a steady weight of 10stone until 2006 then wham have increased to 14stone and feel hideous.
I have since Xmas rigidly stuck to 1000cals and gone to exercise/gym nearly everyday also tracking carbs and proteins, but I am not losing enough weight, only 1lb a week, why? I am otherwise quite inactive in flat. Have also tried weightwatchers with same slow results.
